Everything in Japanese characters!

My daughter was fooling around with her MP3 Sandisk e130 and accidentally changed her language choice to Japanese (I think)...all of her instructions and options are now in characters that we can't recognize. How do we find the language option and change back to english??

Re: Everything in Japanese characters!

I had the same problem when I first got the player and selected another language. I looked at the booklet and figured when first turning it on, hit the down arrow 3 times, then select, then hit the down arrow 4 times then select is how I got to English setting.

Can't change language

In order to change your language back to English or whichever language you prefer. Please go to Settings (which is the icon with 4 bars & 2 bars are moving up & down) Settings to go to submenu, then scroll down until you see FM xxx, then the line above FM xxx should be your language menu. Select it and it will bring you to the list of the language and you should be able to choose your preferred language again. Hope this helps

Get out the battery and let the device "calm down" without any source of power for 5-10 minutes. After that push the menu/start button, hold down for 30 or more seconds and holding down, insert the battery. It has to reset the power circuitry and should help.
