When you go into ANY jewelry store you see many, many styles and costs of different pieces of jewelry with the stones already set. ask the sales person to show you 2 or more pieces with the same amount of stones, can you see any difference in the flash or color of the stones, next, walk or turn away from the lighted showcase[s] maybe shield from the lites from above too, Now surely you can see the difference. Next ask for a loupe from the sales person hold it up to your eye [1/2 "from eye] bring into focus by moving the piece in or out from the loupe. now you will see the importance of cost comparing from different stores. The lighting plays a major role in displaying of jewelry.
Go on the internet to https://www.timex.com and enter your Model number. They might also want your serial number. That will refer you to your watch and the Timex price. It's the manufacturers recommended sales price (MRSP). It undoubtedly sells at different prices at different stores. Different stores set their discounts at different levels.
The Capacitor itself is 20 dollars. There are different Capacitors for the different Calibers (models) of watch. If you want to install the Capacitor itself I recommend swatchbattery.com. They have a long and clear list of which Capacitor for which Caliber. And they have 2 brief tutorials on how to install the Capacitor. I do NOT recommend it if you are not very very comfortable working deep inside a watch. This is far different than simply replacing a battery in a Casio or Citizen, where the battery is "on the surface" and extremely easy to reach. This involves some special tools and special skills.
You need a watchmaker. This probably occurred when you had a dead battery replace. It is possible to reset the different hands through a procedure involving pressing different buttons with the crown in different positions.

mcdevito75 here, You re-set the time in a different time zone the same way as you do for the time zone your in now. The different time zones in the USA ru from 1 to 3 hours before the time in the Eastern part of the USA, example, Eastern time 3 PM, then going West, you have Central time 1 hour before, then Mountain time, 2 hours before , then Pacific time 3 hours before eastern time.
mcdevito75 here, Sounds like your watch is showing a different time zone, refer to your owners manual or vist a locl jeweler for adjustment on timeing, setting your watch. Your watch may be set up to show different world time zones, if so, you may have hit a button and now your watch is showing time in a different time zone as an example London / New York.
Design of watch cases, pushers e.t.c. are changing quite rapidly, but this do not affect the functions of the watch, as the different looking cases can house the same movement. So, do not be worry about the different looks, because you may have one of the older (or even newer) designs. Just make sure your watch is functional and keeps good time. If it does- forget about the rest and wear it happily ever after. Do not forget to rate, please.
