It is required to use the Eject button on the DVD player to eject the disc tray. It is not a dump question. Unfortunately, it is a bad design. However, it is required to go near to the DVD player to change/insert the disc. Hence, the eject button is not available on the Remote.
Thanks for understanding.
Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

SOURCE: Region unlock a Sony DVP-SR500H
Ok here's what I've figured out for Sony dvp sr500h...
To get to the hidden menu, you need to start with the DVD player power OFF
POWER (to turn the dvd player on)
and you should now see the hidden menu
then go to option 2
then option 4
then this is as far as I get...you can enter codes here but none I've tried have worked....
the ones I've tried so far are 2812, 34570, and 12450
if anyone can figure out the correct code please post here.

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.
This is a very common problem with this series. Unfortunately, there is no ' quick ' fix and unit needs to be repaired. This problem has been reported to the manufacturer many times, tough no recall or lawsuit has been places till now. You have a defect on the U Board, which is the input jack panel on the back. All signals, including the decoded DVI input, are processed by this board, and the sync signals are stripped here to be processed but the appropriate circuits in the set.
I wish i could have a better solution.
