Auto logoff on gmail

I am being repeatedly logged off gmail. I log back on and sometimes, within seconds, it logs me off again. This is extremely annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to resolve this.

Contact gmail, maybe someone has "Hacked" your account. Are you using Google Chrome to log on with? IE? How are you logging on?

    I usually use Google Chrome, but the problem has occurred with other browsers. I merely log in normally to gmail. Sometimes it logs me off as soon as I log in. Sometimes it logs me off after a period of time; Sometimes the problem doesn't occur at all.

    Gmail automatically signs you out when it detects that you've logged out from another browser1 window, or when you sign in using another Gmail address from the same browser window. This is done for your protection and to help preserve the privacy of your information.

    I don't believe I am signing in from another gmail address or logging out from another browser window. It just logs me off. I do not have gmail on any other device.

I'd suggest booting into Safe Mode (press F8 after the POST information is finished on bootup) and then you should see an option for Administrator. If you can sign in successfully there, go to Control Panel and create a new account under User Accounts. Boot normally after that and see if you can sign in the new account.

Two questions: 1) is this XP or Vista? and 2) did you recently make any significant changes to the software (namely try to change the Certificate of Authenticity)? If what I suggested works, I'd say boot into Safe Mode again and then run System Restore for Windows. Set the system back to about a week ago and try logging in normally.

When it comes to viruses, there is really no for-sure way to solve it. It's pretty much hit and miss. Your last resort (and often the only resort) is a complete system restore from the CDs. But try the following:

1) Try to load in safe mode. When you turn the computer on, and just after the boot screen goes away, start repeatedly pressing the "F8" key. A menu will pop up, where you will select "safe mode". If it loads into that, try and do a virus scan and get rid of the virus or viruses that are causing the trouble. If that's a no go (can't load safe mode, can't remove viruses)

2) Download and burn the "Ultimate Boot CD" from There are several different sites listed to download from. Get an "iso" version. You'll need to "burn the image" to your CD (don't just copy the file there) using Nero, or some other burning program. Then, load the computer from that CD. There is a virus scanning feature on the CD. Try that. (I'm assuming that you have access to a second PC)

If that doesn't work, then you will need to restore your system. If there is data you want to save on the drive, you could bring the laptop to a professional and have him recover that data. Best Buy will do it for a fee. Once you're done, be SURE you get good up to date antivirus software. So many websites, emails, and downloads come pre-loaded with all sorts of things waiting to destroy your computer. Good AV software and a bit of common sense will keep those nasty viruses away!

try disabling wi-fi's probably pci-e if it is built in.i had this problem in my thinkpad t500.when i log without enabling works great.when i log with wi-fi stays about 1 min then freezes.right now i changed power settings for pci-e and now it seems working fine. try this

You can just log out of your daughter's account and log in to your account. If you don't log out again, and select the 'remember me' option if available, you'll remain logged in.

Sign in google chrome

first download and install browser.

Second when chrome browser first opens it will ask to make the default browser and ask you to create a gmail account.

if you re pen internet explorer it will ask you to make it the default again, browser to select no and check to box to never asks again.

Once a gmail account is created, and Chrome is logged into your gmail account, you'll be all set. All the google apps are auto synced to your chrome.

The mail purpose for syncing chrome to your gmail account, is for all shortcuts, bookmarks and home page info you set on your chrome is backup on your gmail account. this way if you log into chrome anywhere, your defaults will follow you. the same will be for chrome on mobile devices, phones and tablets.

You have checked the "keep me logged in" box. Log out(upper right corner) and log in again with the box unchecked

you should be able to get your phone number back from your service operator, if stolen. then you can follow the password retrieval wizzard, via cell phone. usually, cell phone operators should be able to give you a new sim card within minutes, you just need to get to a shop to do that.

Soo, the other day I deleted my G-Mail account that was connected to my YouTube, but to assure that my YT account wasn't deleted, I disconnected it from my G-Mail, but it won't allow me to log-in on my YT...

Heres what to do.

Go back to gmail and make the same account you just deleted..

Then, make a second email account.

Now, before deleting your gmail account again. log into youtube and link it to a different email account.

Then you can delete the original gmail..

This is a long shot but i used to play this prank on people in college.

Put a logoff or shutdown shortcut in their startup folder. As soon as the PC starts up, it immediately shuts down or logs off.

I think safe mode is the best way to fix that, but again that is probably not the problem.
