My Shredder will not turn on, any clue as to why it worked the day before and now today it is not turning on or responding at all. Tried numerous power outlets.

If it would be the on/off switch, you can try some WD-40, its clean the contact inside the switch, just spray the switch two or three times & work it, if the problem in the switch, this will help, some have fuse in the back side of them some where.

The paper sensing switch lever has bent or broken or the switch is faulty. Check between the wheels about in the middle of the shredder to see if you see if the little plastic finger. If the finger is visible and can be moved, the switch is faulty. REMEMBER TO UNPLUG IT BEFORE DOING ANY INVESTIGATION.
