SOURCE: wont work the gameboy color screen shows a blurred nintendo logo

this happened to me as well, from personal experience it seems that your game got to hot and fried the circuitry a bit, i had to get a new game, found out if a little moister gets in there and heats up on a hot day, the power supply on the game system fries the circiutry, if you got it used see if they will return it for a better one, if you recently got it, i hope so...best of luck...shia

SOURCE: The game won't go past

Take out the game carterage and blow in the end of the game to get any dust or anything out... if that doesn't work your game is probably bad.

Lately, many GBC games have hit their age limit. there is a small battery inside each cartridge that allows your game to be saved. follow the instructions below to replace it.

Ive turned on the game but no response.it only says gameboy ,but the nintendo logo does not pop up leaving only a blank screen that says gameboy.

The Nintendo logo not showing up but the GameBoy one does means that it can't detect the game. Take the cartridge out and put it back in again. If that doesn't work, clean the contacts on the cartridge. As a temporary fix, you can blow into the cartridge (the bottom where the shiny metal lines on the board are) or you can clean the cartridge by using some rubbing alcohol with q-tips to wipe the metal contacts on the cartridge to clean it and let it dry for an hour.

hopefully you already figured this out but that usually just means you put the game in slightly wrong. the games can get touchy in their old age, happens with pretty much all my GBC games I have now. just try blowing in the open end of the game, insert it again and hope for the best. keep trying, it'll work eventually.

When i put the game in my sp all that pops up is the game boy logo

Trick for Nintedo games.
Blow the catridge, there is probably dust in either the cartridge or the SP itself, try to blow both of them out and try again.

The gameboy screen comes on, but the nintendo logo is blurred, and the screen goes blank, without the pokemon opening screen showing up

This is usually solved by blowing in the cartridge and putting it back in firmly (don't slam it). It just means that the contacts on the game aren't all properly touching the pins on the system. You may also find it useful to put rubbing alcohol on a q tip, wringing out the excess moisture, and gently clean the gold parts inside of he game. Then allow it plenty of time (i.e. 3 hours) to dry before playing. Make sure that you put in the game straight and properly when you go to play. If this does not work then you may want to look into either cleaning the pins on the Game Boy, or there may be something wrong with the game itself. Try then to play it in a different Game Boy. I hope this helped.

Well, wasn't the best idea to take it apart. You need to go to the place you bought it from, tell them the problem , or contact Nintendo and see how your Manufacturer's Warranty works, and if its still under coverage. Good Luck!

Gameshark and other cheat codes have a tendency to mess up or freeze the games. This is usual.

check the connectors inside cartridge slot inside ds, verify if they are all aligned ( | | | | | ).

if any contact is bend, you must align it, also check for dirt or rust inside slot.

sometimes you will need to clean contacts inside. you must buy a cleaning kit to do it.
