SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Cannot find a driver for Agfa SnapScan 1212u Flatbed Scanner for OSX 10.6.6

I have an Agfa SnapScan 1212u, and it has always done a great job for me. I was furious when I found out that Agfa quit updating the drivers several years back. It was actually some time after I'd updated to 10.6 before I needed to scan a large batch of images, and I realized Scanwise X no longer worked. However, there are SEVERAL solutions you can use!
You will need the SANE package (5 small files that will add SANE support to MacOS 10.6+). You can find all 5 files at http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/. Once you install the library, you will have several options. You can get VueScan, which runs $39 and is a high-end scanning software program. You can get Graphic Converter, which also runs $39 and supports SANE and TWAIN as image import methods (this is the method I use). Plus, the program is an extremely powerful tool for image conversion (it supports file formats back to the TRS-80, DOS, Amiga, Atari, etc. days) and editing. If you're going to pay, I think this is the way to go.
You can use Snac, which is free. I was going to use this, and it ran fine for me under OS 10.6.6, but it would never recognize my scanner... You can also try ScanAgain, which is also free, but it was not stable on my MacBook.

Where can I buy spare parts? i need a new lamp.

I have a Agfa DuoScan F40 Flatbed Scanner. It appears that the scanning function is not working. Light is not turn on.Blank white paper as a result.
I wonder if we could somehow mod the scanner lamp since it is nearly impossible for us to buy the scanner lamp nowdays, even Agfa support say so.
The function of this lamp is similiar to a torchlight. It will brighten the document that we want to scan during the scanning proces. What if somehow we manage to use other device other than the lamp it self like superbright LED(20 watts) or another lamp scanner from dead scanner macine.I think it will work.Anyone care to comment....

I have an Agfa snapscan e20 and would like to use it from my Macbook. The scanner is an old thing. Is this possible and can you give me software to download? Thanks

First thing you should do is after you have connected the scanner to your computer, go to Finder, navigate to Applications and then double-click on the "Image Capture" icon. Press the "Scan" button on your scanner. The Image Capture application will recognize the connected scanner and will display a preview of the picture. Select any special options you want for the scanned picture and click "Scan" in the lower-right corner of the preview window. A scanned image of the picture will now be saved to the "Pictures" section of your user folder. I am advising you to try this as your MAC OS might recognize the scanner without the drivers.

If that doesn't work, try the drivers from Agfa website for SnapScan E20. Website doesn't specify for which MAC OS version they are. In addition, here's a link to th manual.

Scanner turns things yellow in colour scan

A new scanner is the only solution. Do check out the software options first though. Uninstall the software and reinstall it. just to be sure.

Trouble with an older scanner

I'm assuming this scanner interface is a SCSI connection. First thing you may want to look at is the SCSI ID number switch at the very back end of the scanner. Before changing the SCSI ID switch make sure your scanner is powered down. Repeat steps above when trying different SCSI ID numbers to see which one works with your computer. If you have other SCSI devices connected make sure they are not sharing the same SCSI ID # which will cause a conflict.

Agfa scanner 1212

Motti, Have you tried a new cable(USB)from the scanner to the computer.? Does the scanner try to scan something from the unit itself? and just has no communication with the computer. You may also try to uninstall the scanner and software...then rehook the scanner and try to reinstall. Otherwise to be honest there are alot of inexpensive scanners available now that probably don't cost more than the cable. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
