If it's showing that much of usage, then please follow the following steps:

1. Connect the phone to PC in storage mode.
2. Open command line from run section in start menu.
3. Do it by typing cmd from run.
4. Then switch to the drive no of your phone by typing (for eg if it's 'e' type e:)
5. In the command line type attrib -s -h *.* and press enter.

Good day, try to check your phone memory, its the first thing you should do if your phone is in full memory status. The reason is, you have huge files was saved in your phone memory, remember never use the phone memory to save or install a software. Instead use the extra memory or memory card attach to your phone, erase some unused files or any data that hidden or your phone memory, or transfer it to your memory card to avoid the this sort of problem. text messages in sent item or in mms inbox. If this change the stat of your, reformat your phone the manual way. thanks

The SD card shown in my computer has "empty file" but it does have pics in it if used in the digital camera. what should i do?

I have had success with this memory card recovery software called asoftech data recovery... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Hi friend, As you have mentioned that you are not able to access the hidden files on the memory stick. I wpuld like you to check if the hidden files are being hidden in the OS settings or not.
In order to check that when you will open the folder of memory stick, go to folder options and in the folder options make sure that the Hidden files options is not checked. If it is checked please uncheck it refresh the windows explorer and the files will be displayed

Hi usually data do not be recover from dead flash drive but please try this option:
  • Be prepared beforehand

Installing any software after data loss will increase the risk of the lost data being overwritten. A recovery program installed now is good insurance for your data.

Free recovery software. There are many good free recovery programs out there. Installing one now may be the difference in keeping and loosing valuable data.

    Commercial recovery software

Commercial recovery software will increase the chances of recovering important data. It's not free but can be well worth the price.
  • Step 2What to do

Use your system as little as possible until you recover all of your lost files.

The more activity taking place on your hard diskmag-glass_10x10.gif, the greater chance that some of your lost data will be over written. If you are trying to recover files from a media card, stop using that card immediately.

How store the movies and songs in the memory card and how to see the memory status

    Hi there,

To transfer movies and songs in the memory card you can either insert your memory card into your phone and plug the USB cable that came with the phone into your computer. From the computer, you can drag and drop files into your memory card so that it can be played/viewed on your mobile.

Alternatively, you can use a memory card reader to plugin to your computer via USB port or use an inbuilt memory card reader on your computer to access the memory card. From there, you can drag and drop files onto your memory card. Just insert the memory card back into your phone when you are finished.

To check the memory status of your mobile phone go to where your files are and press Options, there should be a option for you to check your memory status. Or you can go to Tools, Settings, Utilities and look for Memory. This will tell you the memory status on your memory card.

Hope I have been of assistance to you,

    Cheers :)

All the pictures i had have disappeared and my memory card says no images! when i tried to get them processed it just kept counting up images to over a thousand..

Hi. The most probable cause for this problem is a virus. Your memory card might be infected and the virus might have hidden your files. You can check this by scanning the memory card using an updated antivirus, then unhiding all hidden files. To do this (after scanning the memory card), open Windows Explorer, go to "Tools >> Folder Options >> View" On the advanced settings, Hidden Files and Folders option, click the "Show hidden files and folders" button. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Click OK to save the settings.
Now go to your memory card via "My Computer" or Windows Explorer to view the files (images). You can unhide them so they may be accessible again.
    Hope this helps.

It is always saying 'memory full'. i can't receive/send txt message because of this 'memory full'. i also can't save notes or reminders because my 'memory full'. i check my memory and i still have 2gb...

Instead you shall go to gallery click options and then go to memory status. This way it will give you two diff memory status one for your phone and another for your memory card. check wether your phone memory is full. Then delete/transfer files from received files to memory card. If this also does not solves your memory problem then it seems some virus must have created worm effect on your mobile just connect your mobile to a pc having good antivirus. Click on folder options and then check show hidden files. and uncheck hide known extension types and sytem files. Remember you are required to change one radio button and two check boxes. Then browse your mobile and delete all unwanted files. You have to be a bit cautious while deleting anything from root of your mobile I'll suggest not to delete anything from the root of your mobile i.e. phone memory but you can deffinetly delete files from folders inside your root memory. At any moment if you feel hesitant about anything you can revert back to me. Mahendra

All files in my memory card does not appear

Please put the memory card into a card reader on a PC or if your phone supports mass storage drive mode then in either case follow the following steps:

    1. Your card will be recognised as a drive with a particular letter.
    2. switch to command mode by typing cmd from run section in start menu.
    3. change to that drive by typing e: in case your drive letter assigned is 'e'
    4. type attrib -s -h *.* and press enter.
    5. Now please go to that drive and check if you find the missing files.

    Regards

    18 MB from 2 GB...

i would recommend using a utility that performs a low level format of the flash drive... note that all data is lost on it. You may just have hidden files on it and your windows settings dont allow you to view hidden and system files...

let me know if you want to check for hidden files first or want a link to download a low level flash drive formatter....
