Did you check to see if you antenna extension is hooked up to the hide away unit and to the front end behind where your monitor is located. Good luck.

Cd and dvd work but no radio station

When you switch to Radio AM/FM, are you having trouble tuning into a radio station? If so, make sure the antenna cable is connected properly and that it is the right type. Some car antennas differ from stereo manufacturers so if yours differ, you will have to get an adapter. This website has an extensive range of antenna adapters. If it is outside of your country, then use it only as a guide to finding the correct adapter for your needs, then you can search locally for a supplier.

We bought a used car with a Jensen overhead mount dvd player in it and I'm trying ot get the audio working. The car came with 1 audiovox wireless headset and that's the only way we can hear it though I see...

2 WAYS FOR SET UP.
IF INSTALLED THERE IS A ON/OFF SWITCH SOMEWHERE IN DRIVERS REACH THAT WILL TURN ON A FM MODULATOR. THEN TUNE TO A CHANNEL ONE BY ONE TILL YOU HERE DVD MOVIE SOUND.
ONCE YOU FIND THAT CHANNEL LOCK IT IN.

SECOND SET UP.
THE MENU ON SCREEN MAY HAVE SOMETHING THAT MAY SAY "FM MOD"
MAKE SURE IT'S ON AND THAT MENU WILL HAVE AN OPTION FOR SELECTING AN FM CHANNEL.
TRY IT OUT.

There should be a button or switch somewhere on the new radio that allows you to go between AM and FM tuning.

How to hookup an IPOD to a pioneer avh-p6500 car stereo

If your car stero has a stereo audio input connector then you can plug a cable in the headphone on the IPod and the other end of the cable into the stereo audio input on the car stereo.
If you don't have an stereo input on the car stereo then you can buy a FM transmitter that is powered by the car's cigarette socket, connect the IPod to the transmitter, switch on the car radio and tune it to the FM station that matches the FM transmitter.
You can now listen to your IPod from the car radio.
