Similar problem, pulled the HD and ran chkdsk /r and then connected to my other laptop and harddrive is good, just will not boot, the HD light comes on for a few seconds, the CD spins, then shuts down.  Was your solution to re-solder the MB connection to the AC adapter?  Please confirm, tx

How do I save Dell Latitude drivers on a CD or thumb drive for later rebooting?

If you are using an identical machine, why not clone the drive to another hdd.
I would go to dell's web site and download the drivers from there, saving them to a usb drive if that is easier. To copy the drivers is not an option as you have no exe file t instal them again.

Thank you for your query

The problem you are seeing indicates a physical hardware fault on the LCD or the inverter connected to the LCD

I would recommned that you hook up a external monitor and save all your data

Then please book the laptop into a reputable PC shop for repair
