Re: added ie 8 beta, uninstalled, ie will not start
Basically your ie8 uninstallation is bad...try and see if you can get an ie8 uninstallation toolkit at microsoft.com to uninstall ie8 properly. Else, you might have to reinstall ie7 after uninstalling ie8.. this same problem persisted when micorosft released ie7 and i was supporting ie7 when released. so take my word. happens with all ie beta versions..

Try reseting the internet explorer. to reset the ie lool for tools on the upper part..go to the internet options after clicking tools. new window will popup...click on advance tab there..at the bottom you will see reset..click on reset then it will give you warning hit reset again.
you can also try to downgrade the ie 8 to ie 7 if the above thing didn't works. go to control panel look for progams and features..click on installed updates...in updates look for internet exlorer 8 updates..remove all of them..then restart the computer
When you upgraded to Internet Explorer 9, it made a backup of Internet Explorer 8 and replaced it. If you are running windows xp you would have had the Beta release of IE 9, as the full blown release will not run on xp. It was designed only for Vista or Windows 7.
In order to get IE 8 back, you will need to go to Start > Control Panel and look for the option to Uninstall or Change Programs or the Icon for Programs and Features if in icon view. Once the list of programs loads, look for Internet Explorer 9 and then highlight it and click Uninstall at the top of the screen. It will remove the new version and replace it with your previous version. You will need to reboot the machine when it is finished.
Once back up and running you should have IE 8 back in place and fully functional.
If you installed IE9 beta over IE8 you can roll back to IE8 from Add or remove programs in control pannel. Is better to choose a stable version of any program, not Beta because beta is in teste mode and is not certified that is working with any software and addons.
Sounds like a browser hijack to me. What operating system are you using and also what version of Internet Explorer ?
Basic IE troubleshooting always begins with clearing your temp files, cookies, and browsing history. To access your internet options go to your control panel and double click the icon labeled "Internet" options. Click the appropriate buttons to clear those items and try to load the program again.
If you are using IE 7/8 you can try to run the program without loading any add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problems. To do this, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
(You can also load IE without add-ons by clicking START --> RUN and then typing iexplore.exe -extoff)
If those don't work try to re-register IEPROXY.DLL by clicking START --> RUN and typing regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL and then clicking OK.
When IE dissapears does IExlorer.exe show in the task manager's list of running processes?
Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.
1. try to open the windows explorer and in the address bar type the address of any website.
2. right click on the task bar and then choose the option task manager, select the tak processes and then check for instances of the application iexplore. In casse there are multiple, select one and click on end process. repeat the same for all instances
3. In case still inaccessiable, try to restart the computer.
4. If the issue still persists, try uninstalling the application using the control pannel and add remove programs, Add remove windows components.
If the problem still persists, use a different browser
Please try to perform reset by - tools - internet options - advanced - reset.
2. go to add/remove programs. uninstall all the tool bars like google tool bar. yahoo tool bar like.
3. if there are any desktop softwares like google desktop or wther channel desktop remove all those.
go to control panel from start menu and then go to programs and features. under programs and features look for windows IE 8. and click on that and uninstall.
or other wise if you don't see it there click on show all installed updates on top left corner. then under installed update lists fine windows IE 8. and uninstall them all. it will prompt to restart coimputer. restart computer you will get windows IE 7.
