No sound from the Laptops speakers

I have a Toshiba M115-S1061 Laptop. I just reinstalled the Win XP (SP3) operating system again and now the problem is that I am not getting any sound. The sound icon is there at the right bottom corner and nothing is on mute, the volume is full. I installed the sound drivers again but still there is no sound. Any suggestion

I have a dell inspiron 8000 laptop,, I have installed in it Win XP Sp2.. I can not find Drivers especially the network drivers that suits it. Thank You

I suggest you install SP3, it contains the latest security bug fixes.
You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the supportdownload page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of thelaptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label ismissing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the ServiceTag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specificdrivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select theWindows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system.Click on this link to download the drivers: - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

SP3 is very large, you maybe able to get your computer savy friends or friendly computer shop to help you, they most likely have SP3 on a CD.

XP Cannot detect Intex RTL 8139D LAN card

This is a realtek based card so youe may want to try these drivers

Available Here

Make sure you get the ones for your operating system

extract them to a directory that you can remember and find easily.

eg. c:\mynic

Then select the card from your hardware list and tell it to update drivers. Dont let it wander the internet tell it directly where to find them.
It should then either do it for you with no fuss or offer you a choice of hardware and driver versions.
You would select the latest one and continue.

Hope this helps out

There are a few things you can try for the dreaded !
Delete and let it be discovered again or select it and try reinstalling the driver from the CD that came with the unit. Make sure the driver is compaitible with your operating system XP drivers wont work in Vista. You may need to get an updated driver from Acer to overcome this problem

Windows XP SP3

Hello, Lore.
Did you mean DWL-6510 or DWL-G510?
I have some comments for the last one; if it is not your PCI-card, I hope the solution is alike, at least.
My PCI-card is G510 version C and I recently posted a comment on a certain Internet Forum. See what I wrote:

First of all: D-Link simply mistreated all the costumers who bought version Cx.
The best thing to do:
1- Get the latest drivers from Australia site - www.dlink.com.au - (look for SUPPORT and not "quick find").
2- Specially for Win XP-SP3, try the USA site; you will need to follow this path because the update file is very hidden on the site: click support / FAQ / search for "G510 SP3" and see the answer for the only question that is there (so far); download the newest driver for SP3; this driver has no installer; you will have to use it as an update if you have already a driver installed (click "properties" and "update driver" on the device located at control panel / system / hardware); if you have no driver already istalled, you will have to do the opposite of DLink directions: install phisically the card before installing driver, click start / control panel / system / hardware and search for a "?" sign, click on it and provide it the downloaded driver.

Good luck!!

Wireless Network Driver

Dezzie.

This software will work with your Toshiba Laptop. This software was created by Toshiba. You need to install the Network Adapter. So go to Toshiba's website and update your network adapter drivers for win XP SP2.

Please let me know how this works.

Thank you
