Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
You can format the C: drive just right click on the drive and choose "format". Or you can delete your user account. Log into the computer in the administrator account (you do this by using safe mode, hold F8 key during boot up) once you're logged in as the administrator go to control panel and users and delete the account. Make sure you choose to remove all files and settings associated with the account. double check this by going to your C drive find documents and settings and make sure you don't see any trace of the old account name. I've never tried this one but you could also try right clicking on the C: drive in my computer and choose "format" I don't believe it would actually let you do that while it's running. Hope this helps!

Technically no matter what you do they can re assemble your hard drive at a very costly price but, you could Format your hard drives and odds are they would look no further.
Since your turning it back into your place of work, I suggest you re-install the os and use MS-DOS setup that to format your hard drives in the partion section of the setup.
If you don't know how to do this yourself, there is a pretty good tutorial on how to make a clean install of windows xp at winsupersite. if you have Vista, for the most part its the same, vista is just more of an automated setup.
