You also can take your filter, clean it, add a dryer sheet to the filter for 2 things:

#1. your set will have better filteration without restricting too much airflow.

#2, if your married, your wife will thank you for the scent your TV will be giving off into the living room. :)

    Good luck!

My tv just displayed a temperature to high message what does it mean...i just cleaned the filter Thanks

Clean the interior with some canned air. Make sure it has adequate ventilation. If it does it again after that, you've got a board going bad.

I get a message stating that the tv is overheating and eventually turns itself off. What needs to be replaced?

The problem could be that the filter on the back of the TV needs to be cleaned. Remove the pop out door and clean the foam filter. Do not get it wet, just use the vaccum or blow the dirt out. There is a fan behind the filter, so any dust and pet dander is filtered before the air is sucked into your unit. I make it a habit to clean mine every 6 months. I'd do it more often if your house is in a dry dusty location.

Yellow circle

The huge yellow circle is either your blue filter is burnt out (very common in Zenith DLP) or you LCD cube is bad. I would bet it is the blue filter. Zeniths DLPs have 3 color filters one blue (a pinkish color), one green (a grayish brown)and one red (it is red). For the bulb indicator I would check and make sure your lamp is seated to the ballast correctly. Just take it out and put it back in.

Cooling fan problem

I had this problem and just turned off the TV and let it cool down. (You should unplug it before opening anyting). I opened the cover over the fan (on the back, near bottom center) and took out the filter. I washed off the filter, made sure it was good and dry, put it back in and turned the TV back on. The filter was quite dirty. I have not had a temperature problem since.

Zenith E44W46LCD Lamp Access Door Location

I found the location to get at the lamp. If you are loking at the front of the TV there is a small panel at the bottom of the right end. Two screws, remove panel, two screws inside and a small handle that lifts so you can slide the unit out. 4 screws on top of the cage that the lamp sits in, carefully slide up the silver bracket holding the bulb, be careful the edges are sharp. Remove the bulb from bracket and remove the 2 cables attached to the bulb. Now just do the same but in reverse. Make sure you wear plastic gloves that should be provided because if your fingers touch the lense you could be out the price of the lamp.
