I think it's a motor problem

I have a Samsung - 24.8 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator (a little over a year old), well its not cooling the fridge and it no longer freezes the freezer. The motor, I believe its the motor, hums for about 35secs every 3minutes and ends with a click. It sounds like it is trying to trigger itself to run but never gets into gear to circulate cool and freezing air. Is this common and is there an answer I can try before calling a tech.

Don't you have a 24 month manufacturers warranty on that? Get them to fix it.

Your problem is the compressor (motor) start relay. They are inexpensive and availible locally from a refrigeration parts supplier. Check the wiring diagram on the back of your unit for installation help.

We have to unplug the refrigerator every week or so, leave it off overnight because the refrigerator part quits cooling. The freezer eventually quits freezing also. It is a Samsung RS2530BSH - ugghh!

I have a 5 year old Samsung side-by-side refrigerator RS2545SH with a refrig. side cooling problem. The freezer side works OK. Freezer side maintains a constant -8F setting, and the ice maker works fine....

Freezer freezes fine and at a low setting. Fridge side at maximum setting will not cool lower than 45 degrees !!! ???

New samsung side by side fridge/freezer won't keep my milk cold.
dependant on model if the freezer is ok then the fridge evaporator is iced up restricting air flow.. a 24/48hr total defrost usually cures the problem.. if it reoccurs then a more exploratory test of heaters and sensors will be required..Thanks
