The other day my monitor went blank, I reached to the back to check on the cord and itcame back on. When bringing my hand back tothe key board,I touched the menu buttons on the right hand side of the monitor, and this caused the screen to move about 4 inches to the right, and the picture became too bright for me to read or see anything. Up to now the left hand side of the screen is black and the screen moved tothe right and I still cant read or see mostthings clearly due to thebrightness.

First make sure that all the cords are connected properly from the back of the CPU to your Monitor.I suggest you to unplug all the cords of the CPU and then plug them back in after 10min. and make sure they are all connected tightly.Next check if the power cord connected to the Monitor is attached tightly.
If you still face the problem then you will have to replace it with a new power cord whih connects the CPU to your Monitor. It is black in colour.
It could be a faulty power cord. Try plugging it in and moving the cord around in the areas where it takes the most movement. Do the same with the data cable to see if you get a response there. If your cables are fine, the problem is most likely hardware in the monitor - in that case you're better off replacing the monitor.
it was on after it went blank & again on
means there was a loose connect as it came back on.
but now that loose contact has got permanent due to print breack or track open.
the problem is in
1 monitor to computer connector not properly connectec.
2 crt base loose
3 track open or print in power supply.
4 if it is ok check for horizontal section print or loose.
hope this will help
