Black Cartriddge missing


Try taking out both cartridges from your printer. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds. When the printer turns on, re-insert your color cartridge then close the cover. If no error appears, re-insert your black cartridge. If error still appears, then it could be a faulty cartridge. It would be best to replace it with a new cartridge, preferably a genuine one. Lexmark products work best when original supplies are used.

Print cartridge in right stall not supported !. was working fine for a long while with the same cartridge. still has ink. took it out, put it back in. is there a known glitch with these things or what?...


There are a number of known glitches with these models. Without having a known good or new cartridge to try, you should remove both of the carts, close the lid, and pull the power cord out of the back. This will reset the printers ram, and force it to reload. Wait 10 minutes, plug back in and power on. When it finishes making noises, insert the carts, black first, and if it clears, you're good. If not, you will need to buy another cart to go any further.

My lexmark prints things out PINK - it says there is an alignment problem, but I cant fix it


Hi, try removing the cartridges from the printer. Clean the nozzles of the carts using a damp paper towel first, then finish it using dry paper towel to wipe it off clean. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet. Plug power after 10-15 seconds. Reinsert the cartridges. Make sure the cartridges are secured in the carrier. Hope this helps.

My 926 dell printer will not recognize my color cartridge. How can I fix it?


This could be a few things. It could be dust or some debri blocking the connection. take out the ink cart and use a lint free cloth to wipe off the copper looking contact. if that doesn't work then it's one of 2 problems. it's a bad ink cart, or the printers sensor is bad. It's usually a bad ink cart. If the ink has been refilled, then i guarantee that's the problem. Best thing to do is buy a new ink cart. If that fixes the problem then you are set. if not, the printer is faulty. Dell's ink carts have a 2 year warranty. If the ink cart is under warranty, then they should be able to replace it. Just be sure to tell them that another ink cart resolved the problem. If the printer is the problem and it's out of warranty. pitch it. Dell is gonna charge somethign like 29 dollars to troubleshoot and tell you the same thing. If it's still under warranty, the of course, call dell and get it replaced.

I just moved and can't find power cord for J6480. How much is a replacement if it "never" shows up in the moving boxes?

Under electronic parts, you have power cord option, the part number for it is 8121-1023, you can add it to cart and order it on line directly. If you are not from US you change the country settings at the top.

LEXMARK X63 NOT RECONIZING LEFT CART.


I did find a procedure online to clear the memory and that did the
trick. Here it is, may help someone in the future:

Open lid, take both cartridges out. Physically remove the power cord from outlet or back of unit. While pressing the Stop/Clear button, plug cord back and kee pressing until a message saying "clearing memory" comes on. Reinstall ink. You're done, the message should go away.

I have found you need to be very accurate with the placement of the of the paper guide box and ensure it is completely locked in to ensure the printer will turn on.
This is the manual feed box at rear of the printer.

Check print cart.


Did you set the date back in your system tray on your computer to something like 040704? Try taking out the cartridge and then unplugging the USB cord and the printer from the electrical outlet. You have to have the printer turned totally off with no connection to your computer. Make sure you have the date set back on your computer before you put the USB and electrical cords back in place. That printer will know it is the current date otherwise. Then with USB and power cords in place put in the cartridge and give it a try. If no go, you might try taking out that one and unplugging everything and then replugging and replacing with the second cartridge. I have read somewhere that the machine can remember 2 cartridges, so you may need a third, but I did not when I set the date back on my computer. Good luck with this. Let me know how it goes. I am still printing with my original color cartridge; it has been refilled twice since I originally figured out how to fool my printer. And that old black Office Depot one is going strong too.

Take all carts out. Close cover. Unplug machine from power. Wait a minute. Plug in machine to power. Machine demands carts. Insert new (!) cart as demanded from machine. In case when asked push 1 for YES: cart changed.

BTW:
Always print until machine stopps printing. Display says NO INK XY. After replacing the cart machine will print the rest data out of its memory.

NEVER change cart when machine says low ink (This is only a hint to buy a new cart!). At this point the cart has about one third of ink left!
