Question about Admiral AAV7000A

Admiral makes rattling noise during spin

My admiral washing machine just began making a rattling noise during the spin cycle. The only other thing I have noticed, is lately within the past two weeks on at least two separate occasions the washer finished the cycle, but was left full of water. I had to switch it back to spin to drain and spin in order to dry the clothes. Any ideas of what could be going on here? Thank you.

We have checked and believe you are correct that it is the pump sleeve. The pump sleeve has come out and is touching the bottom of the machine (grinding a circle around it). How do we replace that or repair it? Thanks

Hello, could be a possible bad pump. I would lean the washer back so you can see the belt. take the belt off and spin all of the pulleys. the pump pulley has a s leave that sometimes makes a grinding noise.

very simple you can remove the front panel by getting a putty knife locating the top of the cabinet useing a flash light you will see 2 clips pop the clip[ and pull out. or it could have 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel remove those and and pull up and off. or if the pump is in the back pull the unit out and there is a little door that you can open with i believe 5/16 socket. remove the back panel and you will see the pump. you can replace it this way. it's very simple just remove the hoses and the bolts. then install the new one

I have a Admiral Capacity Plus washer LNC6267B71. Washer makes loud grinding noise when agitating & spin cycles. Machine does fill, drain, agitate & spin. Only noise is concern.

Hello. Your symptom describes damaged bearings and/or a damaged transmission. This is a MAJOR, INVOLVED repair requiring special tools to prevent serious injury during dis-assembly and re-assembly. I strongly suggest acquiring outside service to repair this machine if cost effective. There are many parts that have to be removed and then replaced--if you've never done this--don't attempt it. There is a brake spring with 200lbs of torque on it that has to have a special tool mounted to relieve the tension during removal and then re-compress it during replacement for example. Sorry to be so dramatic but I don't want you to get hurt needlessly. I hope I helped you!

Load squeal when it in the agitation cycle.

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
