Theres a free program(suite)on the net primarily used for hacking called aircrack.if you choose to download it once unpacked theres a application called wzcook .this software is designed to store passwords youve previosly cracked or entered without having to search for them.SO if you have physically entered the original passwords at some stage even though youve forgot them this program will find them and store them in a folder on c:
you never know you may want to try out the other programs in the suite out of interest or curiosity.just out of interest these programs were designed for wireless security and lets you know how secure youre network is .there is also a program called spotmau which has to be downloaded and a bootdisk created for its can detect lost passwords and also wipe/clear all passwords;handy if you have forgotten you admin password and cant get into windows.

Wireless installation

Sorry but i didn't get it, Do you forget the Network Key of your wireless of you forget the login password for your belkin router?

Let me tell you both solutions.

1 If you forget the network key - then you can login to your belkin router and go to the wireless and you will get your network key there.

2 If you forget he login password of your belkin router so just look at the back side of router there must be a reset button which will reset your router and password to the factory date.

hope it will help you :)

How to set up wireless home network with a DSL subscription.

If you have a DSL, "Digital Suscriber Line", most companies will provide you with a modem. Usually the modem will have only one ethernet connection, meaning you can only connect one computer.

In order to connect multipule computers you will need a wireless router, ethernet HUB, or router.

Connecting with wireless Router

The only thing you really need to change is the following 3 settings on the Wireless Router. The SSID (so you know what wireless network is yours), the WPA/PSK and or WPA2/PSK, encryption method TKIP key or password. Under "administration" change the administrator password for a secure wireless connection. ( WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD)

Connect to your wireless router

1. Plug in either your (1) wireless card, (2) PCMCIA wireless card, or (3) USB wireless stick.

2. Turn on your laptop or desktop computer. Select the wireless router with the strongest signal and with the name of your routers (SSID) and click connect.

3. Open your web browser and type
If this dosn't work, check your wireless router instruction manual for the correct IP address for your model.

4. Your router will ask for a password, usually (admin, admin) works or (admin, (ENTER) ) try both. If neither work try resetting the router by holding in the reset button for 3 seconds.

Once you log on to your router you can set parameters to your liking or just set the , {SSID}, {WPA/TKP} key or password, and the router administrator password to keep others from accessing your network and possibly computer.

Start at step 3 above.

To connectyour computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh networklist, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connectto your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Keybefore allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This NetworkKey is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used toconfigure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way tosetup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in thelaptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

Tryuing to conect a computer to my internet

LOL, how did you forget the security key? OK, lets pray for a little luck here. On some wireless routers and some modems that contain wireless capability the security key will be either on the side or bottom of them on a label. It is called the Network Security Key or Network Password. This is especially true if you have AT&T as your provider. If you have a wireless router that you purchased from a store such as Netgear, Dlink, Belkin, etc. then you will need to use a Network Cable to plug the wireless router into the computer ( it may already be plugged up if you have a desktop computer). On the computer with the network cable coming from the router plugged into it you will open up internet explorer and in the address bar you will type in the ip address of the router. For example the ip address for netgear might be so you would put that in address bar where you normally type www to get to webpages. If you have access to a computer that is already connected to the internet just get on it and go to and in the search type for example "netgear wireless router ip address". you'll find the ip address, or you can go to your router manufacturer's site to find the ip address. You 'll also need the userid and password to get into the router, so make sure you google that or get it from the manufacturer's site. Most times the router might be set to the default user id and password. Let's hope that's the case otherwise you'll need to get it from whoever set up your router. Once you're in the router, go to the wireless settings and look for the password. It might be under wireless security or it might just be under wireless. That's all there is to it.

I know it seems like a lot, but it's quite simple. The only thing that might throw you off is if whoever set up your wireless also changed the default userid and password to get into the router. Don't fret you can get around it by clicking the little button on the back of the router with an ink pen and hold it for about 30 seconds. This will reset the router to the factory settings including the password. You'll have to go back into it and turn on the wireless and set a password if you want one to secure it. Also if your internet connection is a PPOE Connection which is what phone companies use such as AT&T then you will have to put in your Network or Internet Userid and Password. Most folks don't know that because they think the only userid and password they have is their email userid and password from the phone company. NOT TRUE.... You'll need the Internet Password or you'll never reach the internet. In fact you might spend time talking on the phone to a customer service rep to get it all set back up. And they won't help you with the router because the don't deal with anything that's not their product. So in short HIT THE RESET ON THE BACK OF THE ROUTER AS A VERY LAST RESORT.

I Want to configure a wireless network with router linksys 54GS 802.11 but I dont know how do it, I want that you help me

Connect the router directly to your computer via a Ethernet cable, type on your browser, if is new from factory, username leave it in blank and password: admin
Once ou enter on the web based configuration you can go to the wireless section, set a name for your WiFi network (SSID) select WPA or WPA2 security and type the passfrase you want to sue to allow wifi devices to connect to your network (ex mywifiisawesome) leave channel like it was.

Disable mac address filter. or any other stuff you don't know about. every time you make a change save it and apply it, at the end, go to administration and change the router password from admin to a new one, this password is not to connect to your WiFi network this is only to access to the router config. the passfrase is the one you must type on your computers to access the WiFi.

Acquiring IP address and won't connect to wireless

You possibly have your router password protected or have changed the password recently. If you have done either, you will need access the router by the router IP address, then go in and make sure the password you have on the router is the same as the password you have no the computer.

Secondly, make sure that the router is broadcasting correctly. Hard wire(hook the computer directly to the router with a ethernet cable) to see if there is an internet connection flowing thru the router.

Third, ensure that the ethernet cord from your modem to your router is a good cord. Be sure to plug the ethernet cord from your modem directly into your computer to ensure there is a good connection as well.

Reconnect all (modem, router, and computer)

Fourth, power down router, modem, and computer together. Power up the modem first and let all the lights come on. This will renew the connection and refresh the IP address. Once the modem is up, then power up the router til all the lights are powered on the router. Lastly, power up the computer to the desktop and attempt to launch a web browser (internet explorer, mozilla, safari, etc.).

If nothing at this point works, you will have to consult your router manufacturer or a local computer repair shop. Be sure that the technicians working on your issue is certified.

Dell Inspiron B130 will not connect to secure wireless network

Try setting the password at WPA2 (if you can). Mix a word with some numbers for the password. Then power-cycle (unplug for 5-15 min. then plug back in) your router and restart your computer. Now, try to reconnect. If that doesn't work try updating your WLAN driver for your computer.

Fix a security problem

To make your wireless connection secure, you have to change the security settings of the wireless connection in your wireless router, not your laptop. Most wireless routers have a "Web Console", basically a web page to set up the router. Make sure you have a network cable handy incase things go wrong, and if possible, your router manual.

To connect to the router, you need the IP Address of the router. To find this, go to your start button, go into "Run...", (for vista click the start search box) then type "CMD" and press Enter.

A black window will come up. In there type "ipconfig" and press enter. It will list your Network connection details. The one you are interested in is "Default Gateway", under "Wireless LAN Adapter", note this IP address. It's usually something like, or, but can be a variation on that theme.

Onceyou have the IP address, close this window, and then open Internet Explorer, or Firefox if that's your preference. in the address bar, where you type web addresses, type in the IP address noted earlier. All being well, you will either be prompted for a password, or be taken to the main screen of the router where you can log in. The manual for the router should have the login name and password, usually "Admin" for the username" and "password" for the password. If you dont have the manual, and the above name and password doesn't get you in, Google your router model, and put password in the end of the search IE "Netgear DG834G password" and you should be able to find the default for your model.

Once Logged in, you need to feel your way about the settings, as its very router dependant, but you basically are looking for the wireless security settings. You want to enable WPA and give it a password, then apply. Once you do this, you will loose your network connection. On your windows laptop, you want to go to your wireless connection, disconnect if it still shows connected, then look for your network, you'll know your SSID, its the name that came up with unsecured next to it. Click it, then click connect, and all being well, it should ask for a password. Enter the password you put in the router for WPA, you will need to enter it twice. t should then connect after a minute or so, and you now have a secure connection!.

If this goes wrong, you will need to connect your PC to the router using the network cable, and go into the web console again, ang check the password, and security settings in the router, that way you won't be stuck if it doesn't work, You can always turn security off, or try WEP encryption. It's not as secure, but better than unsecured.

I hope this helps, If you need more help Email me at LateLesley at Yahoo dot co dot uk (Spaced out to avoid spam crawlers, just add the @, dots and take out the spaces :-) )
