SOURCE: tv stand screws

Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!

When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.

Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

My 42 in matsui tv wont come on at stand by you have to keep on turning it no for a bout 10 minits or moor

Sounds like main board fault. Power ON signal should come from the main board to power regulator board, to switch in ON from standby to power ON. Contact any service technician. The troubleshooting to this kind of fault is a skilled work. Not user repairable.

Hi there. I have a 42" Matsui M42LW508 LCD TV.

probably there's a lose solder in the power supply board of your lcd,
and maybe from inverter board. these two parts of lcd consumes much power and heat.
so once you use it can produce heat that can affect the solders under the board.
the same with inverter board.
if you know how to disassemble or some technical knowledge you can re-solder it by using soldering iron and lead.
but if you not capable, go to repairman and let him do the work.
it has to be repair before it can affect other parts of lcd.
thanks.......

I can't turn off the tv it only goes into stand-by mode (both button on remote and on the tv)is there something i'm missing or do you have to turn it off at the wall?

There are no dedicated on/off switches on these TV's as in the older style televisions. It will remain will the stand-by condition unless it is physically turned off at the wall socket. This is becoming a standard set up on a lot of LCD televisions.
