Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher

Don't use a Y-connector with a single air gap, it will end up having cross-drain issue down the road if not right away.
Your double dishdrawer is two machines in one enclosure. Do it right and install a dual air gap, which as separate connections for each drain hose and the water from one hose can never end up back-draining thru the other and back into the machine.
