I have powerdowns in my 2003 Yukon Denali at various times.

I thought these powerdowns were through affter I did a tune up with plugs, wires, and injector cleaning. Various codes come up on the OBD tool that Auto zone prints out. Can it just be a software update to the master computer like one service advisor at a GMC dealer has advised me.?

Any of you guys ever hear of someone swapping the stock engine in a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali for a Duramax/Allison? From what I hear the computer is the biggest problem? Thanks!

Yes, it's doable, but the entire engine wiring must be swapped also. Connecting it back will be a very long and tedious job, that will require a lot of time and a hefty price.

What kind of tune up should i get

depending on the year model.. plugs and wires distribitor cap and rotor. air filter. and defently a fuel filter. the more often you change the fuel filter the longer that high dollar 300.00$ fuel pump plus labor. will live. hope this helps.
