Question about Toshiba Satellite 1405-S151 Notebook

1 Answer

Keyboard lighting/speakers I do not think this laptop has the capability to illuminate the keyboard so that I can type while in the dark, if it does how do I enable this feature? Also I am not receiving sound out of the right speaker, how if possible can I fix this problem? Is there a way to tell if the speaker is just bad or if it is turned down or off?

There are many laptop desk lamps available that will give you the light you need. The 1405 does not come with an illuminated keyboard.

Probook 6470b is there any kind of illumination? So you can work in darkness. Not the illuminated keyboard... I know I don't have that option.

If it has a Fn button on the bottom left of the keyboard next to the Ctrl key, press the Fn button and hold down, then press the arrow keys left or right while holding down the Fn key.

Want to turn on back lights for keyboard to see while typing in dark

I do not believe the Probook 4440s has LED lighting for the keyboard. The key combinations Fn+F2 and Fn+F3 keys at the top of the keyboard control the monitor brightness (backlight). The keyboard is spill-resistant.

You need to attach an external keyboard with backlighting or a USB light to see your keyboard in a dim environment.

I wish that I could be of more help.

How to make keyboard light show in the dark

Some laptops have a built-in LED light.
If your HP does not have a built-in LED light then you can get an USB LED light that plugs into the laptop's USB port.

How do I turn on my backlit keyboard on my dell with windows vista?

Hi,

Sorry for the last answer. The expert probably didn't understand your question.

If you have purchased the optional backlit keyboard, the right-arrow key will have the backlit keyboard icon on it. The backlit keyboard provides visibility in dark environments by illuminating all symbols on the keys. The settings for this keyboard can be personalized by using
Dell QuickSet.

Backlit Keyboard Brightness Settings – Press <Fn> + right-arrow key to toggle between the three lighting states (in the given order).
The three lighting states are:
a. full keyboard/touch pad brightness
b. half keyboard/touch pad brightness
c. no lighting

Hope this helps. If you need the manual for this computer, it is located here:

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have an Acer 5610Z and the keyboard sucks... Is there a keyboard that would replace it and if so, is there one that is illuminated? Thank you!

You can't replace the keyboard on a laptop for another type. If it's really sucks that bad, you could try using an external keyboard. As for illumination: you can use an usb keyboard lamp, like this. Not as fancy as an illuminated keyboard, but it works.

Backlight

If your keyboard glows in the dark,it never lit up.there are two types of keyboards one glows and one actually lights up with a blue back light as an option on the ix250(the bios has the option built in,if it has the keyboard that lights up or not).
