Question about Dryers
Open the dryer door and slowly rotate the dryer drum in a counterclockwise (CCW) direction. Rotate the drum 2-3 revolutions and then shut the door and see if it will start. If it continues to just hum and not start could indicate a voltage issue, motor issue or a friction issue. Open the door again and locate the door switch plunger in the upper or lower corner on the hinge side of the drum opening. Hold the plunger in while someone begins rotating the drum counterclockwise. While turning the drum counter clockwise and holding the door switch plunger inwards press the start button. If it starts, there is likely a friction problem or motor problem.
What is the model number?

I had a similar problem; start the cycle and hear a loud buzzing but no movement of the drum.
I pulled off the top and back cover to reveal lint buildup inside the housing and around the motor. The belt was on properly. The vent coupling on the back was not secured properly, and was allowing lint to buildup inside the unit. I cleaned the inside the best I could and vaccuumed all around, trying to get the motor as clean as possible. Replaced backpanel (re-connected power) and the unit works fine now. I'm not sure exactly why it works, but it does. :)

see if you can spin the drum by hand,if you can sounds like you have abad motor,or something could be stuck in the blower wheel jamming the motor and the belt broke but the sound is the motor, you need to get in there and look, let me know what you find and if i can help you with anything else
