Question about Keurig B60 Coffee Maker

Open Question

Keurig d60 I must hold the handle for it to work

I used the external (grey insert) in order to use my own ground coffee. When I returned the black insert I now have to hold the handle down in order for it to be ready and start brewing. It's almost like it isn't seated properly but I can't find the problem?? Help! I love the machine but don't want to have to stand their all of the time.

I have one grey set-up that is used with a filter screen cu for grounds and the original black k-cup holder setup that was originally in place. It almost seems like it is not sitting int he holder all of the way??

    Thansk for your continued help.

Did you also change the drip funnel below the coffee grounds area? The one used for pods is different than the one used for the grounds attachment.

SOURCE: Keurig B50 Ultra brewer

This is a known problem with the B50 which Keurig will acknowledge if you press them hard. Some users have suggested trying to clean the check valve just inside the water outlet but the best solution is probably to call customer support, complain like crazy, and take the discount on a new machine that they will offer you. Apparently, this problem occurs much more often with the B50 than with more recent models, which may explain why it isn't on the market anymore.

SOURCE: keurig B50

This didn't work for me, but I saw that it worked for someone on another forum, so here goes...

If you feel up to taking the bottom plate off your B50, take it off and look at the two connectors (blue & red wires) going to the green part in the center. The vibration of the B50 may have shaken them loose. Reseating the connectors may fix the problem.

Like I said, though, it didn't work for me. Still no love from the B50. It's just over 2 years old, though, so it's out of warranty. Maybe I'll see if I can weasel a B70 for Valentine's Day.

SOURCE: my k cup reusable coffee

I had the same issue and found a **** fix that is working well. The issue is that the hole in the my-kcup doesn't seal to the machine so I take a square of foil and put it over the top of the closed my-kcup assembly, crimping it under the rim of the cap. This seals the assembly and forces the water through the my-kcup. It also makes a better cup of coffee because the water is all going through the grounds.

SOURCE: I received a Special Edition Keurig for Christmas.

I had a similar problem, I solved it by removing the K-Cup holder assembly, and pulling the small bottom piece off (it just pops off easily). From there you can access the "Exit Needle", which is where the coffed comes out and which is prone to getting clogged with grounds. Once you pull that bottom piece off you can run a paper clip or something up through the bottom of the needle and dislodge any clogs. This procedure was listed on page 13 of my manual and worked great!

I do not believe so. When you have a bad machine Keurig has you return that part to decommission your old machine instead of making you ship the whole machine back.

1. Power off machine.

2. Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep. Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.

3. Remove KCup cradle. Separate bottom from top. In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.

4. Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.

5. Power on machine.

6. Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps. NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc). Less means there is still a blockage

When using the basket for your own coffee - the coffee grounds go everywhere including in the cup. How do you stop that

Try pushing down on the handle while the Keurig is brewing. Mine doesn't seem to push down hard enough on the "make your own" kcup. It just takes a little downward pressure while the water is being forced thru the coffee.

Handle is pushed out

Are you using the pressurized filter baskets? My 2 1/2-year-old SL70 recently started doing the same thing, and I think I have narrowed the problem down to the filter basket (it works fine with a non-pressurized basket). I've ordered a new pressurized basket. I can't guarantee that this is the answer, but you might try it.

Hi,
You put the gadget in just like a k-cup. Lift the handle insert the little plastic screened cup just as if it was a k-cup and off you go.Make sure you have it tightened or you may get grounds/
