I am trying to download photos to my Digital PhotoKeychain. Download is unsuccessful and I received a "synchronize failed" message.

You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert videos (and photos) to a format the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version here.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription


You will need to sync the deivce to Rhapsody or whatever msuic svc you have been using. If the subscription has lapsed, you will not be able to use the songs anymore.

If the problem you are talking about is a red popup that says "synchronize to continue your music subsciption." try to delete all your songs if you can and put them back on.

I did a search on "synchronize to continue your subscription" and found this solution on another forum. I tried it and it worked.
"Just changing the sansa transfer mode will fix this issue: If the Sansa player shows MSC, change it to MTP: 1. Eject the device and unplug it from the computer.
2. On the device, push the Menu button.
3. Go to Settings > USB.
4. When you see 2 settings, Auto Detect and MSC, select Auto Detect. (Auto Detect causes the Sansa player to use MTP whenever possible.) Decatur."

I received the same error message. When you download a file from a subscription service, such as an audio book from a public library, you usually have to open the file on your computer first, which I believe, "activates the subscription" with the appropriate license. Some of the services pop up a screen telling you that your license is activated, but others, such as Overdrive, seem to do this automatically. When I downloaded a book and transfered it to a Sansa c240 mp3 player, I received the "synchronize" error message, but when I went through the above procedure and transferred to the mp3 player, no problems, and no error messages. farrell@comcast.net
