Broke mpthe mirror in my WS-55313 Mitsubishi projection tv while moving it. Just wondering how much it will cost to get a new one. Is less than 100 dollars reasonable? We dropped it while moving it and the...

A few notes:

First if the mirror which hangs at a angle facing the screens comes apart it can come forward and smash the inner screen.

The best way to proceed is remove the entire front screen frame:

remove speaker grill on front under the screen (if cloth it should pull out in one piece (a few are two piece).

With it removed look under the bottom front edge of the screen unit--left to right there are several identical screws and you have to remove those.

If the front controls (vary by cabinet style) are in the bottom front of the screen unit there will be wires from them hanging down--should be an inspection plate dead center behind where the grill was.

follow the wires from the front control board down with the inspection plate removed and locate the one or two inline plugs and disconnect them (they pull apart and are marked)

With the screws at bottom of screen frame removed and the keyboard free pull out the frame from bottom and slid up about 4-6 inches the entire frame with the screens still in it.

Do not when you do this twist the frame as you can pop the screens right out.

Set the frame and screens to one side making sure not against the screens and avoid touching the inside screen inside the frame.

You should now be able to see the mirror clearly, be careful if cracked as when you release the screws that hold it in it may come apart and use gloves---broken mirrors are very sharp.

Mirror should if you see the plastic and wood slots for it not be too hard to remove and replace. Vac out any small glass as light from the set inside can reflect onto the new mirror or even the inside of the inner screen and be seen in the picture.

You almost certainly are going to have to get the mirror from Mitsubishi---price it with shipping but since its a 55 inch mirror almost any mitsubishi mirror that size will work perfectly--some shops save them....hint.

Most of those mirrors were at or over 100 dollars and a few sites on the net sell replacements in case Mitsubishi is too high.

Hope this helps and let me know if need advice.

Mirrior is broken

If the mirror cracked/broke and any part of it fell forward and into the inner screen---Mirror around 150 and screens (sold as a set) around 600.

Major labor may be involved but the entire front frame with the screens can be removed to examine and or replace mirror.

Mirror is very fragile and special in construction--when replacing wear soft white gloves---any fingerprints or even marks from your hair touching the mirror will show in the picture CLEARLY.

Elonex "10.2 laptop frame broken (not the screen)

Try ebay. Just but in the search box "Elonex LCD Bezel". The are easy to replace. Most screws on the Bezel are hidden by a rubber bumper or something that you can use a safety pin or real small flat head screw driver to pry off.

Broken piece passenger side of front end broken shock

Go to a Datsun/Nissan dealer, find the parts guy. Ask him to pull out an illustrated parts breakdown for your year and model. He can find you the part number and name of your part, possibly even sell you one, but unlikely for that year. Call around to junk yards to find one with an old pathfinder or look around in ebay motors.

Digital camera screen broken

A cracked screen will cost you, but maybe not as much as you think. Instead of replacing the whole , you can spend about $300 and replace the screen yourself. All you need is a small screwdriver.

1)Turn off the power to your screen and unplug all cables connected to it.
2)Remove the battery, if one is installed.
3)Locate the covered screws around the cracked screen. Remove the rubber/plastic covers, then unscrew the screws.
4)Gently remove the plastic frame around the cracked screen and set it aside.
5)Disconnect any power cords or cables going into the LCD screen.
6)Remove the cracked screen and slide the new screen into place. Replace any tape or plastic fasteners that hold it in place.
7)Reconnect all internal cords to the screen.
8)Screw in the frame and replace all the screw covers.
9)Reconnect the power supply and all external cables to the LCD screen and switch it on.
