Question about Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook
When laptop turned on, it attempts to open windows...
But blue screen comes up then the safe mode etc screen comes up...
When you press safe mode, safe mode with networking and the other or the start windows with last config a bunch of commands comes up.
And it all starts over again...
Try booting into safe mode (hit F8 repeatedly when you reboot until a safe mode option comes up) then if you are able to log in, go to the windows run prompt, type "msconfig" go to startup, disable all, services, disable all. reboot. see if it still does the same, if it doesn't one of those services are causing blue screen. Also try reverting to previous drivers if you did any driver updates, remove any new cards/hardware you might of installed recently.
If you can't get into safe mode, at a copy of any xp disk. boot up from it. (make sure your boot devices are set that cd rom is before hdd in cmos setup) then go to the recovery console "you press 'r' when ou have various option" type 1 for the windows, enter. enter for password unless you previously set an admin password.
Then type "chkdsk /p", let it run also type fixboot, and say yes. reboot and see if this solves your problem.
