SOURCE: Installing the hook and bobbin assembly.

The plastic bobbin case should sit on top of the raceway, it should slot in quite easily, once the bobbin case is in put the small metal clip at the top over to hold it in place.

SOURCE: Singer 9410 bobbin problems

It should not affect the winding, the reason the needle is still going up and down is because the oil has gone dry on the shaft and unless you can get to the shaft where the balance wheel is then it would be wise to take the machine in for a service, loose stitching on the bottom is a tension problem, make sure the top tension is set about 4 or 5

SOURCE: how do i replace the bobbin case in singer machine

When you insert the bobbin case, make sure the "knub" on the bobbin case (#1) is just to the left of the position finger bracket (#2). It should sit in there nicely and you should be able to spin the hand wheel freely.

If you do not have your manual, you can download one for $10 at and it is safe because they use paypal. Normally manuals have all the directions for cleaning and diagrams of how things should go. I had to resort to getting one for an old machine and I felt it was worth it. Singer charges $15 for a hard copy of your manual. Good luck, wish I could be more help.

Bobin came apart how to reasembled

If the bobbin itself came apart or split, it is destroyed. They are inexpensive and throwaway.

If the bobbin carrier assembly of the machine came apart you should refer to your manual or more likely just keep fiddling with it as you will undoubtedly come upon the correct assembly order of it. It will only fit together one way. Kind of like a Chinese wire puzzle!

I would call customer service at they are very helpful, Is your needle inserted right with flat side facing the back? Inserted all the way up? Watch your video again, and read your manual. Sometimes, it something so simple as lint or a piece of the needle still in there, take it apart again and try.

Shuttle alignment and assembly

The shuttle/race/bobbin system shouldn't really be taken apart by the average user. Unfortunately, your chances of ever getting it back together properly so the machine will sew (this is the timing of the machine) are very slim. You'll need to take it to a sewing machine technician. I would recommend an authorized Pfaff tech as they'll be sure to have the proper tools to do this correctly - won't be inexpensive but will be worth it. Most "neighborhood sewing machine repair folks" don't have experience on computer machines. Resetting timing on a computer machine isn't the same as the old mechanicals and requires some expertise.
