Question about CyberLink YouCam
So I've had such a fun time with this. I went to the cyber link forums, except no one even replied. So I have Cyberlink's "youcam" and it had worked great for a while until what ever happened and it would allow me to change the contrast, brightness, and more important exposure setting anymore. These settings are pushed to zero and the ability to move them is greyed out. I have HP's True vision HD and I use to be able to use Youcam and those settings with no problem. So I could just not find anywhere why it did this so I ended up doing a system restore and that just made things a lot worse. It didn't fix anything and did something else to my system, god knows what. I'll just keep it short and sweet tho. Does anyone know why these are grayed out or why I can't adjust them. Is there a way I can fix this? Keep note I can still change the sharpness, and noise plus i can use auto light and the true theater experience. or what ever it is. Any, and I mean any advice would be helpful at this point. I'll give any additional information at the bottom Hp dv7 notebook pc Windows 7 home premium intel I7 3720 qm 2.6-3.6 ghz It's a quad core 8 gigs of memory a Geforce gt 650m graphics cad with 2gb 1.5 tb of 7200rpm hdd Web cam is the Hp true vision hd

Have you tried plugging in the webcam to a different USB port on your computer? If not, then try it on
all the available USB ports and check if it works.

SOURCE: Hello. My name is Florina
I don't think its your webcam that is at fault. I think it's already in skype. I have the same Lenovo model and there are times skype doesn't transmit video. So, I usually do is turn on and turn off the skype video call for the video to reappear. Can you do the following:
1) Make sure you have adequate lighting. Sometimes if you are in a dark room, skype will also transmit black videos to the other end.
2) Have you checked the video settings in skype? Go to Tools->Options. Click video settings. Click webcam settings and try to tweak your video from there.
