NC 300(Network Terminal) Problem In acer PC

I have an acre PC. It functions properly. i want to use Network terminal NC 300 with model (BD-X300 PC Station) in windows XP environment to use the computer in multiuser system. I install new windows XP operating system to the computer. here no problem at all, then after i turn off the computer i install the NC 300 terminal Card in the computers PCI card. still no problem occurred. i start the computer and then after inserting the NC 300 PC station terminal CD I install the software(Driver) of the NC 300 PC station terminal. the NC 300 PC station terminal have three boxes with one card. the three boxes are going to have each one monitor, one keyboard, one mouse and also one RJ 45 connector that helps it to connect to the main PC. I connect all thing and restart the computer. The problem occurs here, the main computer stile works, but the boxes connected to the main computer suppose to display some thing in the monitor but they didn't respond any thing. i try this step by step process but still nothing. Please hep me solve this problem.

Before you did the install did you make sure that you set your CMOS setting to check for a cd disk first before booting straight to the hard drive? When you do an install, you must make sure that the computer knows to look for a bootable disk otherwise it will look for an operating system to boot to first. If this is the problem, after you have installed your operating system you must go back and reset your CMOS settings to look for a hard drive or operating system. يوجد لدي"acer T310" المشكلة الي فيه...نسيت الفلاش ديسك مشبوك فيه...ولمن أعدت تشغيله طلب مني أضغط على "F1" لحفظ التغيرات .... وأنا طبعاً فصلت الفلاش ديسك بدون ماأضغط ال"F1" وأعدت التشغيل.....هنا ظهرت المشكلة..لم تظهر الشاشة.
طبعاً حاولت أفصل الرام عشان أسمع إذا بيجيب صوت إنه الرام مش موجودة ....لكن ما جاب صوت نهائياً...
ومش قادر أحدث ال"BIOS" لأنه ما يدخل على ال"DOS" نهائياً...
فيا ريت من معاه حل لايبخل عليا ويرسل لي على البريد الموضوع تحت..لاننا صدق زعلان على خسارة الجهاز..

SOURCE: A display problem in my Acer desktop pc

techguru 2009: First thing disconnect all power. Remove all drives (hard drive, CD/DVD, Floppy). Then remove all PCI cards. Also slowly remove the Memory cards. You should only have the motherboard w/processor and the power supply connected, do not connect the monitor or mouse\keyboard. If you have a CMOS battery also remove it. Careful turn the power on, you should hear several beeps. That is letting you know that there is no memory installed. Turn power off disconnect power cord. Slowly install the memory cards, keyboard, mouse, monitor. If you have a pci video card install it now. Turn power on. you should see the bios loading then error message there is no disk or operating syste. turn power off and start connecting one device at a time so your bios can recognize it. This should let you know if you have faulty hardwareby isolating each install. If you still have problems let me know.

I am having trouble wiring a 120V time delay relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have 120Volt 8-pin off-delay timer.
When you put power to terminals 2 and 7, test which other pins are energized.
120Volt Black Hot wire usually goes to terminal 7 and Neutral white wire goes to terminal 2.
As general rule the other terminals are dry and receive no voltage when timer is energized at terminals 7 and 2.
This means you must add a jumper wire from your Hot wire on terminal 7 to the Com terminal 8. This action will energize both Com terminal 8 and NC terminal 5. So test if 5 and 8 have continuity when timer is off. And test if both are powered when Com terminal is energized.

Then when timer activates, NC terminal 5 will no longer receive power from Come terminal, and NO terminal 6 receives power instead.

How to wire koyo timer kt-v4s-c-d

Koyo kt-v4s-c-d is a 12-24Volt DC pin timer.
Timer mounts in a pin base, and wires are connected to numbered screw terminals on the base.
Timer has 12 pins, and is installed onto 12 pin base.
The base terminals are labeled 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
The 12-24V DC input voltage connects to terminals 11 and 12, and powers the timer mechanism. Positive to terminal 11, and negative to terminal 12.
The other terminals are dry, and receive no power when input is connected to 11 and 12, except the illustration seems to show the timer will electrically connect terminal 5 and negative charged terminal 12. Use multimeter to check each terminal after power is applied.

COM terminal is 8. Run jumper wire from one of the input terminals to terminal 8. When timer is OFF, then NC terminal 9 has power output. When timer is ON, then NO terminal 10 has output.
Timer functions are set using 8 dip switches.

I need a wiring diagram for an Omron H5CX-A timer

Wiring will appear on side of timer.
Test the timer with multimeter to see which terminals are connected. When timer has no power, then Com and NC terminals will have continuity.
H5CX-A Timer has 11 screw terminal connections and timer is rated 100V to 250Volt AC 50-60Hz.
Input is power IN > this is the 100V to 250Volts coming from breaker box or transformer. For example input terminals might be labeled A and B.
This will give power to timer, but remainder of screw terminals have no power.
To put power to relay terminals, jumper the power from Input terminal A to COM terminal.
For example Com terminals might be 7 and 9.
So jumper Hot wire from Terminal A to terminal 7.
This action will put hot on Com terminal 7, but also give power to the NC terminal.
For example the NC terminals might be 1 and 3.
So when timer is OFF, the NC terminal has power.
Then when timer turns ON, the NC terminal no longer has power, but the NO terminals are Hot.
NO terminals might be 4 and 6, and these terminals turn on-and-off when timer turns on--and-off

I have a large walkin freezer and the compressor and heat strip come on at the sametime, I have to disconnet the compressor when the defrost comes on. Im not sure what wire goes where.

Open following links for 8145-20 wiring diagram and resources:

8145-20 is 240Volt defrost timer.
Heat strip and compressor should not activate at same time.
As a general rule heater connects to NO terminal 3 and compressor connects to NC terminal 4
NC terminal 3 compressor is on all the time until defrost cycle begins.
NO terminal 4 heat turns on when defrost cycle begins, and at same time NC terminal 3 compressor turns off.
At then end of the defrost cycle, NO terminal heat turns off and NC terminal 3 compressor turns on again.

I am using nComputing L230 Terminal but when I log in from the terminal, the windows and all related applications crash with exception code c0000005.

Uninstall your vSpace software, reboot, download and run their cleanup utility located at Apply ALL MS service packs. Verify that no device drivers are missing or conflicting. Logon/logoff to the host and confirm proper functionality. Enable the Windows Startup/Recovery to capture a memory dump. This is done by the following steps: Right click on My Computer ' Properties ' Advanced Tab ' Startup and Recovery, Settings Button, Make sure Kernel Memory dump is selected. From there you can analyze the crash dump. Additionally, to help us, providing the complete hex code when the system crashes would help. Also, you never indicated what OS you're on or what version of vSapce you're using. All this is necessary to help you further.

How do I connect my 2 speed pool motor?

1) You might need a different timer.
240Volt T106 has one NO terminal and one NC terminal.

2) Terminal 1 is NC terminal
NC terminal is 'normally closed' so electricity flows continually through this terminal.
For example you can connect this terminal to speed-1.
So speed-1 is on until timer turns on, and then electricity is turned off to NC terminal and speed-1 stops.

3) Terminal 4 is NO terminal
NO terminal is 'normally open' so electricity flows through this terminal only when timer turns on.
For example you can connect this terminal to speed-2.
So NO terminal only has power when timer turns on.
When timer turns off, NO terminal turns off and NC terminal turns on again.

4) As you can see, the problem with T106 timer is that pool motor is continually running.
Either speed-1 is on, or speed-2 is on.

5) Here's how to wire T106 for 240V two-speed pump:
Two hot wires arrive from breaker box: 1 black wire and 1 white wire.
White connects to terminal A
Black connects to terminal 3.
Three wires go to motor.
Speed-1 connects to terminal 1 probably black wire
Speed-2 connects to terminal 2 probably red wire
Remaining motor wire connects to terminal A probably white wire
Ground wires connect to green ground screw.

6) Usually, 2-speed pool pumps are wired to dual timer like T10404R
So each speed is wired to a separate timer.
With this timer, each speed is connected to separate timer, and then the pump can be turned off when neither speed is needed.

7) However there is a newer electronic timer P1353ME and P1353ME-6 and PE153 that can control 3 different loads. This timer snaps into any T106 box.
For example speed-1 is one load, speed-2 is another load, and a pool light can be third load, or simply do not use third load.

8) I am familiar with wiring and programming for P1353 timer, and you can post again on fixya, and I will catch the question.

I am trying to connect to a second terminal to a second computer and I am getting ts eror internal!!!

This sounds like an issue with an L230 not an X300. Uninstall any current version of vSpace. Reboot. Make sure you have no missing or conflicting device drivers inside of device manager. Then run the NComputing cleanup utility located here: Download current version for your OS from the NComputing download site, install vSpace and reboot and register. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT install from the provided CD and upgrade. Simply install straight from the download file I provided in the link. Lastly make SURE you REGISTER vSpace. Be sure to enable the background hardware activation option. This is available on the last screen of the registration or in the NComputing System console, under System Settings.

General question. terminal connections meaning

Hello ar_atkinson,

The NO and NC designations are for "normally open" and "normally closed". Such a designation is usually seen in relays and switches and indicates which side of the terminal is energized.
