Casio DB-36 is blank

Found my casio DB-36 watch completly blank today. I removed and kept the watch on the table, inadvertently pressing some buttons on the edge.

I've noticed the same problem. It was just all of a sudden blank. I then reset the date and time, and it worked for a few weeks. Then I heard it beep just the other day, and it went back to power on defaults of Midnight of January 1, 2000. Now if I try to re-program it, I don't see the Day display. This is getting frustrating. By the way, I bought my watch just a year ago from Walmart. I've also had to replace the battery within that year.

About every month, watch makes long beep, then goes blank. After a few seconds, the display comes on again with midnight, 01-01-2000. The 36 phone numbers in the db are gone, as are the alarms.

I have the same problem with my DB-36 watch going blank. It's only four months old. Battery is supposed to last 10 years.

No. Battery may be OK. You just need to reset the watch. Open the back (4 screws). When you remove the back, be careful, there is a rubber ring sealing the back and a tiny spring that is probably used as an electrical contact with the back. Reset the watch using a thin wire. Put one end in the hole beside the spring and briefly touch the spring. Voila. The 2 contact points are marked (AC) and (-) .... I think, Mine is not open right now, but I have done this frequently.

My watch Casio buttons has stopped working, what is the problem.

Hi

What Casio model is it?
Do you still have a bright display?
Have you tried removing the battery to reset it?
In some Casio watches like the Protrek range the back light button fails to activate the display light. This is sometimes caused because the earth flange that completes the circuit when pressed has bended to far or snapped and fails to complete the circuit.
More info about the watch may help find a solution. mean time change the battery it may start working again. Good luck

I cannot remove screws on back to pul

The back has to come off in order to replace the battery. To loosen the stuck screw wet the tip of a cotton swap/Q-tip with WD40 (don't overdo it) and press it on the screw so that it seeps in between the screw and the back plate. Let it do its work for some 10 minutes and try to turn the screw. Use a watch maintenance screwdriver that fits well to prevent damaging the little screw.

Turn off alarm on casio db 360

First of all, there is a manual online at
http://support.casio.com/en/manual/009/qw2515.pdf
and this should answer all your questions. I keep losing these as well, and Casio watches are not all obvious.
As far as the alarms go, I read that there are six operating modes of the watch, and you move through them using the bottom button on the left edge of the watch. The Alarm Mode has "AL" as it's heading, plus a picture of a bell.
In this mode, you move through the five alarms and the time signal (beep every hour) using the right and left buttons at the bottom of the watch face. For each alarm (and the time signal), you can press the bottom button on the right edge of the watch to toggle the alarm (or signal) on and off. There are blobs along the bottom of this mode, indicating which alarms are on and off so you can tell when they are all off.
So if I can work that out from a manual, it should be even easier if you have the watch in front of you.
Enjoy!

Replace battery on Casio DB-36-1AV

Open the back (4 screws). Careful with the rubber seal and spring inside. Use a pin to pry the battery clip away from the bottom of the battery. You need to pry the bottom out and up. When the clip releases, the battery is easy to remove/replace.

I've removed the back of my casio db-36 watch, but I can't figure out how to remove the battery. The watch went blank last week.

There is a clip over the battery and then down on one side. You need something tiny and sharp... like a needle. You can insert the needle into the clip between the battery and the outside edge of the clip and gently pry the clip out and away from the battery.

How do I replace the batteries on my Casio Pathfinder PAG40B-2V watch?

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
  • Choose a quiet, well-lit room where you can replace the battery in your Casio Pathfinder watch. Prepare a table, desk or other clean, flat surface where you can perform your watch repair. Put down a soft cloth or piece of craft felt to protect the face of your Casio Pathfinder watch from being scratched during the battery installation process.

  • 2

Set your Casio Pathfinder watch face-down on the soft cloth or craft felt. Use an optical-sized Philips screwdriver to remove the four screws that secure the watch back to the body of the watch. Set the screws aside, but don't lift the watch back.

  • 3

Slide the watch back off of the body of the watch very slowly. There are three important springs held underneath the watch back; it is essential to remove the watch back slowly to avoid losing them.

  • 4

Lift the three springs out of your Casio Pathfinder watch using a small pair of metal tweezers. Take note of the length and placement of the springs as you remove them. Set the springs aside with the other disassembled watch components.

  • 5

Take the black rubber protective disk out of your Casio Pathfinder to reveal an identically-shaped white plastic disk. Remove the white plastic disk and set it and the black rubber disk aside. Use your metal tweezers, if necessary, to lift out the rubber and plastic disks.

  • 6

Release the battery strap that holds the battery in place in your Casio Pathfinder watch by pushing the battery strap latch to the left. Remove the old battery from your Casio Pathfinder using a pair of small plastic tweezers.

  • 7

Pick up your replacement watch battery with the small plastic tweezers and insert it into the battery compartment of your Casio Pathfinder watch. Replace the battery strap and push it gently with the tip of your plastic tweezers to snap the latch in place.

  • 8

Touch the "-" and "AC" terminals on your Casio Pathfinder watch with the tips of your metal tweezers for at least two seconds. This helps ensure that your watch will work properly once reassembled.

  • 9

Put your Casio Pathfinder back together to complete the new battery installation. Start by replacing the white plastic disk, followed by the protective black rubber disk. Use your small metal tweezers to replace the small watch springs in their correct locations. Replace the back cover of your Casio Pathfinder, insert the four screws and tighten them with your optical-sized Philips screwdriver.

  • Best regards. Jewel

Hold down the "Adjust" button (top left) for three seconds. It won't adjust unless you hold the button down.

Press "Mode" (bottom left) to change what you're adjusting, seconds, hour, minute.

Press the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the number up and down.

Press "Adjust" again when you're done setting the watch.

To change date, alarm, alternate time, etc, press "Mode" to get to those functions before hitting "Adjust."

    I hope that helps.
