I agree that the sewing machine needs to be checked, it's very
possible that the computer mother board has a problem.

I keep receiving the Check and rethread the upper thread message, but the stitches are fine.

Be sure when you thread the top thread that the presser foot is ALWAYS RAISED. It could also mean there is some thread pieces stuck somewhere.

From the Brother web site I find, " If you are receiving a "Main motor current" error message indicates there is a problem with the unit, and it is recommended that you get the machine serviced.
Take your machine to the nearest Authorized Brother Service Center for repair.
You can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center (ASC) in your area by clicking on the link below.

I have a Singer 7285Q sewing machine that comes up with a "E-7" message and the machine won't work. It only happens when I use "back stitch" button. My instruction manual has no mention of an

E7 means
The start/stop button, reverse/reinforcement stitch button
or the thread cutter button was pressed while no thread
cassette was installed. If the start/stop button is pressed before the sewing machine is correctly set up or if an operation is performed
incorrectly, an error message appears in the stitch indicator. Follow the instructions that appear.

Why does error F7 flash on my brother cs8060 sewing machine and how can I fix it?

Any "F" error message, F1 through F8, can indicate machine is malfunctioning and needs servicing. You can check with Brother.

It sounds like the problem is actually with the needle thread, remove the spool from the machine, raise the preser foot to the up postiton and the rethread the machine.

The machine was accidentally dropped. We started with an E7 error, and now an E3 error message.

E7 means
The start/stop button, reverse/reinforcement stitch button
or the thread cutter button was pressed while no thread
cassette was installed

E3 means
The buttonhole or bar tack stitch was selected and the
start/stop button was pressed while the buttonhole lever
is raised.
(make sure buttonhole lever is in correct position)

If the start/stop button is pressed before the sewing machine is correctly set up or if an operation is performed
incorrectly, an error message appears in the stitch indicator. Follow the instructions that appear.
If you press (Stitch selection key) or do the operation correctly while the error message is displayed, the
message disappears.

Flashing lights

This is a copy of the post on your premium solution thread.

According to Singer guidelines , if there is only red blinking light, then there is an fault inside the machine, unless it reset disconnecting from power.
If there is an error code with format EM-01 - EM-09 tell me which error you get and I should find a fix.
Here is a complete user guide, check pages 90-92 for common errors.
If you have no error message, and light does not go out with power disconnect then it may be a faulty control board.
In this case I suggest doing a last attempt removing all threads, and reset design unplug from power 10/15 mins.

Let me know if you still have the problem.
