Question about Canon MultiPASS C3000 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I changed catridge but still says "change cartridge".

Canon MultiPass C3000 said "change cartridge", which I did. Now it still says change cartridge. I press cartridge button and resume button, but only prints out one blank page. Then alarm light comes on again and it says change cartridge again.

What am I not doing right?

Thank you,
Brian

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Changed the ink cartridge but it still says put in cartridge

If you are using a generic cartridge it very well could be the problem. Because some manufacturers have a chip in the cartridge that feeds information to the printer.

With a generic cartridge this chip will sometimes malfunction or have not been reset correctly (if it is a refill). If you can try returning the cartridge or exchange it. Give it another go and see if a new cartridge will work for you.

My canon multipass 730 indicates wrong cartridge

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer.................. Now turn on the Printer and chk......... Good Luck

Hello! I onw a Canon MultiPass MP700 printer (copy, scan and print) and I recently changed one of the 4 catridges and replaced it by a compatible one (BCI-3eM bought at Staples) as usual. I have never been...

Erm... the cartridge is wrong. There is not much more one can do to communicate the fact the cartridge is the problem.

Throw out the compatible one you bought - or if you want a refund, return it the store as faulty - and get a replacement. I suggest a genuine one since you had the problem with a faulty compatible (up to 30% of compatibles can be faulty)

I bet you a Fixya rating that once you replace the cartridge for a correct genuine item, your message will go away and your printer will once again be happy.
