Question about Gaggia 90901 Platinum Swing Up Automatic with Milk Island Platinum Espresso Machine
After brewing a coffee the pod which is ejected from machine is a muddy mess...it should come out as a puck in solid form? Is there something wrong with brew group or is there an adjustment?

your grinding chamber is blocked, the same happened to me, did it struggle to grind before? try taking the black shoot out the top with the 2 screws( were you would put pre ground coffee in) take the brew unit out(along with the waste water and bean tray), and reach up to where there is a little spring, the spring controls a little door, if you open the door manually and clean out the shoot to the grinder( make sure the machine is unplugged for this), i used the end of a tea spoon and a little hoover. it should work after this

The only thing that comes to mind is that the machine is in steam/hot water mode. Unless you replace the switch and turn off the steam light so that it sends the water to the correct location. Also you might want to remove the shower screen and make sure it is clean.

Sometimes if you, turn the machine on without the unit in place it will reset itself, and if on the brew unit the arrow is pointing to the N, then you should be fine, however if the arrow is doing its thing and the gears do not line up then you might have to take it in to get it reprogrammed.

Check the drain behind the brew unit. There is a pocket below the injector that can plug up and cause water to drain under the drip tray. Check this first. Stick you finger in the pocket and see if there is water in it. If there is, the drain below and to the right is plugged and just needs to be cleaned.

Testimonial: "Indeed, it appears the pocket below the injector was plugged. Was able to clear it and it now drains properly. thank you!"
