Question about Dimplex EPX1000 Heater

Open Question

I have Dimplex epx1000 heaters. Some work on the timer and others will only work manually, but I think they are on the same zone.

I have checked the control wires and they are all connected. I have checked all of the settings on the control panel and they are correct. I thought I had sorted it yesterday, but today it has given up again. It would help if I knew where to trace this to. Could it be a problem in the heater itself stopping the timer working or is it to do with the control panel and control wires?

SOURCE: Dimplex Convector Heater EPX1000 turns off by itself

I have the same problem with 3 of the 5 EPX1000s I have fitted in my flat, although mine don't even warm up. They just immediately turn themselves off. My only conclusion is that they are rubbish. Specifically, the so-called overheat protection doesn't work. Avoid.

Dimplex PW4 timer not working with heaters

In UK, you can call 0845 600 5111

The manual is very unclear about:
1) Wiring.
2) Resetting the timer when encountering a problem due to surge, power outage, or malfunction.
3) Troubleshoot section is missing.

How do u set a 24 hour timer on a dimplex storage heater!?

You posted question under 24-hour dimplex timer.
I have extensive files on timers, and don't show that timer.

1) Add a comment with photo of your timer:
And include voltage that you are working with, and type of Load that timer controls

I have a dimplex dfb6016 the problem is it will not work when i turn it on.

Hi, I have the same problem. I contacted Dimplex Customer Support today and was told that it is probably the "receiver board" that quit working ...from looking at the service manual, I think she meant the circuit board. Since my unit is between 2-5 years old, they are sending me a replacement circuit board at no charge w/ instructions on how to install it. Hope this helps! B.
