are you trying to get an HD signal into the TV? If so there is a white connector on the back that is for HD signals. It's call the DVI connection.

scroll down on the page to confirm what type of DVI connection is on the back. I think it's DVI-D Dual Link

Hi..
That set has 2 DVI connectors in the back. Either one will work if you have a cable that matches.
The manual is available online too

Follow cord inside and as seen from rear to the right where cord enters there are at least one and maybe two fuses.

See if the fuses are good or bad.

that input is called DVI digital video interface it is only for video. there should be some red and white composite input jacks for the audio near the DVI connector. you will need to hookup the red and white cables from the tv to the cable box or dvd player or whatver you are using. good luck

The cord to the tv is broken

You can find an electrician who can repair this. He will be sure to wire a new cord in, using correct polarity, which is a must.

Where do the yellow, red, and white cords connect to on my Proscan 37'' DVD/HDTV

it depends on what signal your sending to the tv.
red and white are usually sound and yellow is picture or AV.
you may need to select the input on your TV to recive a picture. Does this help?

Your fuse will be on the main board just after the power cord inlet. Maybe in a small black box that the top opens on.

Power cord replacement

You must make sure the wiring is correct no matter what you do as the TV has a polorized cord (one blade larger than the other). It is a saftey feature and must be used.
