Question about LG LDF7932ST Dishwasher

1 Answer

LG dishwasher will not drain

My LG LDF7932ST dies not drain. I hear the drain motor spinning but the water does not drain. I get the OE error on the display. I noticed there was an overflow of water on the floor. Although I turned off the unit, the dran motor was still spinning until I turned off the breaker. I removed the drain motor and tested it with the ohmmeter as specified in the service instructions and it is within limits. I then connected it to 120v outlet power and it spins, but it is noiser than most motors. The motor does not spin smoothly but I have read this is because of the magnet structure. By no spinning smoothly, I mean there is some magnetic feeling resistance and the the impeller turns about a half revolution. It seems to be ok. The main motor works fine. It also appears that the check valve for the drain is working. I cleaned the water level switch reservoir on the side of the unit begause it was grimy, but that didn't help. I removed the drain hose from the bottom of the washer and blew through it. It does not appear to be clogged. It seems the solution would be to replace the motor, but it is working. Maybe it's not working properly. I thought that the circuit board may be malfuntioning, but it's sending a signal to the drain motor to turn it on. I can hear it. Can anyone help?

Wow !! you sure seemed to be very through in your troubleshooting , but one thing I read that you did not see/test was the drain solenoid valve , this is a medium size valve just near the pump that opens to drain line from pumps discharge to allow the water to exit the machine , otherwise it just gets to go up and around the machine again , these especially on "used well" machines tend to rust up and stop moving , a new replacement and there off running again

SOURCE: WATER WILL NOT DRAIN OR SPIN

OE is inded a drainage error.

From what you describe it is most likely that the drain motor is not working properly due to a loose electrical connection or bad motor itself. This is not that easy to verify since it requires some machine moving and disassembly to get at it.

I can give you further instructions if you like...

If your machine is still under warranty you should call someone in for service.

Error meaasage 0E Drain Error what to do?

This OE error or fault code indicates that the machine is not draining properly. Check to be sure the drain hose isn't clogged or kinked. If that checks out, check to see if the drain pump or drain pump filter are clogged. Finally, if the drain line is clear and the pump seems to be clear, you may need to replace the drain pump assembly.

Lg dishwasher ldf7932st motor starts but doesn't work

Is the water turned off? Dishwashers normally start a wash by emptying any waste water tipped into them during loading. Problem could therefore be a blockage somewhere, most likely in pump inflow under the filters in bottom of machine. Lift these out to check. Also check your sink drain isn't blocked and preventing the water from being pumped out.

LDF7932ST leaks while filling

Has anyone checked the drain hoses inside the machine. My LDF7932 dishwasher was doing the same thing and it turned out to be one of the drain hoses had a crack that was leaking causing a short in the wash motor and a leak in the machine--hope this helps.
Good luck

LG LDF7932ST wont drain

it sounds like the impeller in the pump is getting loosae on the pump motor shaft and when it has to pump water any distance uphill when the hose is elevated it creates back pressure on the pump and this makes the impeller slip and make the crackling noise, you will need to replace the drain pump

LG Dishwasher - LD1415T1 - ERROR CODE: OE. Ive cleared the filters and still not working?

Hi,
"OE" indicates outlet error in your dishwasher. Check that you can hear water pumping first if not check your drain lines for obstruction.

Thank you !!

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!
