Question about Acer Aspire 6930-6771 Laptop
A new acer laptop cannot turn on our wireless network device. Cannot see the network, but we have a second laptop - same one- that works find. Why won't the other?
The switch for the 6930 is located just above the NumLock key. It actually looks like an LED indicator of a satellite dish, but it's not. It's the button for the WiFi enable/disable. Push it hard...

Make sure that it shows the driver in the Device properties and not a yellow triangle. If that is good then try double clicking on the network icon on the bottom right hand corner of your screen and choose connect to a network, then follow the steps. Is you wireless router set as open/unsecure? If it is secure then you will need the key code to add the other computer.
