To open a photo in GIMP, simply open GIMP and when the blank GIMP Workspace appears, click and drag your picture from wherever it is saved (ie: from your Pictures Folder) into the GIMP workspace.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Can I edit, fix and enhance my photos

Certainly, once you upload your photos to your computer.

There probably was at least a rudimentary photo editing program that came with the camera.

The gold standard for photo editing is Adobe Photoshop. Unfortunately you have to have a little gold to get it.

How do I decrease photo resolution so that it is compatible with my computer

Do you want to resize the photo to match the resolution of your computer screen? (For example, to use as wallpaper.) If so you can try several free programs such as GIMP or Google Picasa.

GIMP has many features from basic to advanced. Picasa is excellent for adjusting, resizing and orhanizing all of your photos. Both are 100% free and trustworthy.

Driver compatible mac

So there's good news and bad news. . The bad news is that it doesn't look like there is a driver for Mac, and Sony apparently has no intention of every developing/releasing one. . The good news is that you can still print photos by taking advantage of the printer's ability to print directly from a camera. . You can upload the photos directly to a memory card using a memory card reader, and then put the card into a camera and print from there. Note that the camera might not accept the photos if you are taking them out of iPhoto, because iPhoto does a conversion on imported pictures that the cameras sometimes don't understand when you try to put them back on the camera. If you want to edit the photos, use a program called GIMP instead of iPhoto. Here's the download link: http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html . Hope this helps!

GIMP unfortunately has a bit of a learning curve. This link has instructions to do what you're asking. Carefully read through them before starting.

Hi lil_cutey200, Check out GIMP. it is a freeware software and has full functionality and quality in editing photo's. the website for gimp is http://www.gimp.org/
To download directly, download from http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
The current version is GIMP 2.6.11 This is for windows XP Sp2 or later. There are older versions for older Windows OS or version for Linux (non windows machines)
It's useful and well worth your time, may not be exactly like photoshop but definatly will be able to perform (edit photo's) for home use.
Good Luck...

I've used GIMP. If you don't get the answer you're looking for in the chat I suggest you rephrase your question and ask specifically for someone with experience in GIMP, then reject "solutions" from people with no GIMP experience.
