My samsung notebook screen has darkend to where I can't really see it. how do i fix this issue?

Right click the battery and hit power options.

Need more info. On battery or AC? Have you tried to adjust the displat brightness in Power Settings? You didn't supply OS, Model of laptop? In power settings you will find a Brightness adjustment. If that's not what you need you you will have to be a bit more specific.

    I am not the original poster but I do have a similar issue. I have a K01UB Ativ that has been upgraded to Windows 8.1 and I am having display brightness issues. I have all the Windows power settings set to max brightness regardless of whether the computer is plugged in or on batteries. However, when I use it on battery, the display is about half brightness or less.. If I plug the power cord in, I have to restart the computer to get the display bright again. Is there a Samsung setting on here that I am not aware of? Are you running on batteries? Has you laptop go into hibernation? You can adjust display dimming in power stttings, by right clicking the Batery icon in the taskbar notification area and opening the power settings. if that's whay you mean? I need more information to give a informed solution. If you plug in the laptop to AC does it change? Try re boot.

I have several Sansung products and I have not had any problems with them.
I recommend you install a power surge board and plug your electronic devices into the power surge board.
As for your notebook if you have not installed a virus scanning program then you could have problems with viruses causing your notebook to fail. I suggest you install Microsoft Security Essentials from the Microsoft WEB site, it free.

Samsung syncmaster 275t won't start - what to do?


The Samsung monitor is okay, the problem is a compatability issue between the laptop and monitor. The VGA toDVI is the problem you are converting a analog signal to digital, the signal level degrades when that is attempted. If I understand this the laptop puts out the analog signal "VGA" and the monitor has the DVI input, "digital" The only other suggestion is turn off the laptop screen to see if the monitor will work.

TV has a band of colored lines down the center of the screen. How do we fix this


It's likely that one of the boards inside may have gone bad - I can't determine why that would happen, but if you're still under warranty, you can get it inspected and fixed under the warranty.

I can't say for certain on either one of them. I would really recommend having a service technician inspect and repair your set before the warranty is up.

My samsung s451cr froze up while i was texting


As I was reading lots of blogs with regards to samsung phones, I found out that freezing up while texting is a common issue of samsung phones.
I checked as well as to how on resolving this issue, however there's no other way to fix it, because there's no available software to actually eliminate the common issue.

Hi, i have a samsung notebook, recently it has started to go into a blank, white screen, sometimes it stays like that sometimes it goes on and off. i've tried to install a new anti virus software but...


I would reboot into safe mode, then run your anti-virus/anti-spyware software again, then try rebooting in regular mode and see if that fixes the issue. It sounds like it could be a hardware issue, though... possibly a loose connection or faulty screen, if the virus/spyware search doesn't pan out.

My Samsung Eternity's screen is messed up (or i think so) i can calibrate my screen and everything it lets me touch the spot but i can't juss touch it i have to use my fingernail or press down...

I have come across this issue before. I believe it was with a dell or Gateway laptop. The screen had been stepped on. I wanted to check the computer out before I replaced the screen. I connected an external desktop monitor. It worked fine. You just have to hope that the dual monitor feature is enabled. There's no way to do it without a monitor or active screen. I hope that helps.

Samsung 50" hdtv; picture going dark along a sharply demarcated band on screen


This really shouldn't be the normal life of the lamp inside your TV...plasmas are meant to last at least one full year, up to three depending on how many hours per day they are used (I'm sure you can figure out where on that scale your tv lies). It could be caused by magnetic field interference, most likely from a speaker sitting too close to the tv. The magnetic field that is produced by the speaker refocuses the color on the tv, causing dark spots; they can sometimes appear as red or purple tinted areas as well. Most of today's tv's (especially plasmas) and speakers are set up so as not to do this, however you can never really be positive that it will not happen. If you have speakers near your tv, move them at least a two feet away, but the farther the better. Unfortunately, there is no real fix for this problem unless you take the tv to a professional and see if they can de-magnetize that section of the tv. I hope this helps some...if you don't have speakers near your tv then I apologize for wasting your time! haha, at least you'll know for future reference though. Your best bet anyway is to return the tv back to where you bought it or call the manufacturer; if it's only 6-7 monthes old, it should still be under warranty. Good luck!!
