This sounds like a faulty pcb and/or inlet valve. see links for prices.
meatballs77 - If you have warranty (the machine is less than 1 year old which yours is) or paid for extended cover then call hotpoint to replace... Hotpoint should be able to fix this - this should be free. call 0870 4422 510
Rememer parts are free up to five years - but there is a £90 callout fee after the first year.(unless you extend the full warranty)

Try buttons "dry" & "spin" together for a few seconds. This could be the child lock display.
Or press "end of cycle" for over 3 seconds.
Or press "options & select" till the light goes off.
Works for other machines..............

hello, so you reached up and pulled the door assembly rip cord and opend the door did you test or change the door lock assembly try holding pause cancel for 3 seconds as the first thing to try or if this doesnt work try any other button for three seconds then release then hold for another 3 seconds then release this has to be done three times after doing this it should enter the diagnostic mode write me back if you happen to see an error code pop up when you do this to exit diagnostic mode hold down pause/cancel for three seconds 65 percent of the time when the door locks and you are unable to open it you would have to replace the door lock assembly so see if these little clear control options work if not message me back and il send you a schematic and a how to on door lock assemby Thanks again Rick
