Question about Audio Players & Recorders
It appears the battery is faulty. Contact the EBay seller and tell them the problem, ask for a replacement or refund.

Hold down the button with the red record button and the back and power button. Or you may have to press the middle button. Anyway, hit the red record button and two others on that side and hold it down.

SOURCE: Sony Nwa3000 appears dead??
First things first-have you pressed the reset button on the bottom of the unit? Secondly- try updating the firmware on your unit the manual way - Go to this link. http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowArticle.action?section=en_GB_Products&articlesection=1&article=1154694485490&productcategory=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman&productmodel=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman%2FNW-A3000&productsku=NWA3000B.CEK&site=odw_en_GB Go to download the latest version of Sonicstage but dont actually do it. At some point there is a link to update your firmware to version 3.0. Try doing this again, going through the update procedure it suggests, even if you already have 3.0 installed. This might work. Worth a try at least!

Ok i Just had the same problem but ithink i figued it out because i just put a video in their and it worked. So first of all u must ahve done a type-o because WMA is not a video format it means Windows Media Audio so i am assuming u said Windows Movie Video(WMV).
So what i did is I put the Resolution as 320x240 and put it in a folder in your desktop then drag the file and drop it try that and if u still have problems just ask.
