will not work. Batteries are new, tried reseting TV and controler and still
did not work. On and off button does not work. Individual channel button numbers work when inputing.

you need to completely unplug your satelite box and pull the card out of the box. once you do that, plug it all back in. Then reinsert the card. Give it a moment to reset. once it does, be sure to push the sat button and try your remote again. If your batteries are low this will also prevent the control from working. other problems could be someone reset your controler. use the user guide and look for your tv in it, it has a code you have to put in. The best way to handle the problem is call your cable/sat customer service and they can walk you thru it. if all else failed buy another controler.
The tv Tuner signal board is the cause and the problems. That the board, where the incomming broadcasting signal cable wire plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.
Try cleaning the side of the pcb where the rubber buttons rest on with a q tip soaked with acetone. You can also use methylated spirit. If this does not work, then there is probably an open circuit in the pcb or a component is not functioning. You need a multimeter and some knowlegde of electronics to test the components.
1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.
3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.
Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the
device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks,
then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press
the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the
device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.
Two things may be at play here. The tv might be only programmed for reception on channel 2 and will need to be re programmed to receive other channels.
Also try some basic troubleshooting on the remotes. Start with the remote that came with the tv. Replace the batteries try the "MENU" button. If you can get into the menu try to "autoprogram" the TV
take the batteries out of the remote...now check if you can change channels manually on the big screen.
if so the remote is stuck on one signal that channel u said. get a new remote.
if still same trouble on big screen look hard at the buttons and make sure none are jammed.
also try to get to your setup menu and auto-program the channels it should search everything and then try changing channels.
new stuff alot times plugs come loose, goes back to the factory workers...not pushing them tight
have a tech check that at your home.
I think you are out of luck, unless you can find someone else who owns one, and will let you use their controller to program a learnable remote.
I have purchased, and returned dozens of universal remotes...not one has worked.
