Maytag Neptune Dryer MDE3000AYW. Replaced pulley and arm (pulley was seized to it), rear drum wheels, front drum glides, belt. Cleaned throughly inside. Worked like a charm for about 6 loads. Went to hit...

I'm guessing that your belt my have been misaligned, which means, no problem!

But, I recently had a machine that had a motor that would not turn, only hummed. I vacuumed the lint, then blew the lint out of the motor with a compressor, and vacuumed again. It still needed a push start to get the motor turning, but it starts on its own, now. So, if you have a lot of lint buildup, it can eventually stop the motor

Dryer drum turns by hand, belt ok, motor hums but doesn't turn duum.

you have a bad motor, change it out,try this, open the door and put your hand on the door switch and with your other hand spin the drum while somebody else hits the start button, sometimes this will help the motor start but you still need to change it out, easy job to do

My washing machine model no is WF-T8019QL. Inside drum hitting to the out side wall and making noise.

Possible failure of the Suspension of the drum mountings,
failure/fault of the motor drives, possible friction or fault in the drive to produce a centrifugal action thereby agitating the drum.
fault of the motor, belt , pulley.
Excess load of water, reduce water level to low and try.

GE electric dryer (model #DDE5300BBLAD) won't start when I hit the start switch. I do hear a noise when I hit the start switch...stops when I release the switch.

the sound you hear is the motor trying to start.reach in drum and turn clockwise 1 revolution.try to start it again,if it starts your motor is starting to go bad and will have to b e replaced soon.if you canrt turn thje drum you probably have something stuck in blower below lint filter .hope this helps .please rate my response:)

Motor runsbut drum very slow to spin in spin cycle

The motor could be on its last leg of working. You can also check to make sure that the belt is not binding against anything under the drum. You may also want to make sure that the conterbalance weight is not hitting the belt. Make sure that your machine is lever and that it does not walk during spining.

Dryer randomly stops turning.Sometimes it turns and sometimes it doesnt! We have already changed the belt!Dont know what to do...

It sounds like the motor. A loud buzzing on startup is another sign of a motor. It could also be the timer. To check the motor, hole the door switch and the drum while having someone hit the start button. If it is easy to prevent the drum from turning the motor is bad.

Dryer will not turn. makes a low hum for a few seconds then nothing.

Hello, Unfortunatly your primary winding on the motor is bad. basically when the motor first starts the primary winding gets the drum turning and does the hard work. when this winding fails the motor is not able to do the hard work to get the drum turning. If you took the lid off your dryer and hit start while helping the drum turn by pushing it the drum would start. Some techs on here talk about drilling holes in the motor and spraying oil inside the motor. In 25 years I have never seen this work on a motor this big. Only safe way to repair this problem is install a new motor. if you have any further questions please feel free to comment. Good luck! Mike

You need to check the motor isn't bad which is possible. All of what you have stated is possible. You are going to have to check out each and every one until you find it. But all three can cause it.
