Try this: Unplug EVERYTHING(related to both the router and modem). BEFORE you plug in power to anything, connect all of your ethernet. So, first ethernet goes from modem to router. Make sure they are in their proper places. Next, take another ethernet cable and attach that from modem to computer. NOW, power everything up. Google the linksys router splash page login. Im sure it'll be something like: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or something along those lines. From there, you should be able to set up your wireless. Once thats all good, unplug just your computer and everything should be fine. If that doesn't work, its either time for a new router or you're having wifi card issues.
This can be a firmware related problem on your router to correct this one you need to do a update or flash the firmware of the router, to do that follow the steps from this link.
wireless router always comes with an installer cd..do you already installed it??if not try to install it if you need further help just contact me here in fixya...
First, you have to directly attach to the cable modem whichever computer the instal tech used to establish your account. Make sure that connection works. Then re-insert the router and clone the MAC address of the instal computer to the router. Then check your DHCP settings. Make sure it's set to get a new IP from your new provider. You may then have to then release your IP and resubscribe.
