Do you mean password lock?
If so, what you need to do is go to the settings app. Press General, Passcode lock, enter the unlock code and then change password.

Are you able to see the wifi name? If you are able to see it and you cant get into any wifi network that you could get into before, that could be problematic. If that is the case, you might want to try do a restore! Plug your ipod into the computer and press restore under the ipod tab.

My son has locked himself out of his ipod by a security code he forgot and re entered lots of times, i wondered if there was a way to rectify this

Hi michelles498...

If you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Your son will need to restore his iPod. To do this: -Turn on the ipod and open iTunes on your computer -Plug the ipod into the computer with its cable -Select the iPod in iTunes -Hold down the 'home' and 'power' buttons on the iPod -Once the iPod turns off release the 'power' button -Keep holding the 'home' button until there is a prompt in iTunes -Follow the on screen instructions to restore the iPod

Ipod security code

You can unlock your iPod nano in two ways:
â Enter the combination on iPod nano by using the Click Wheel to select the numbers
and pressing the Center button to confirm them. If you enter the wrong
combination, it flashes red. Try again.
â Connect iPod nano to the primary computer you use it with, and iPod nano
automatically unlocks.
Note: If you try these solutions and you still can’t unlock iPod nano, you can restore
iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page 50 for more

My ipod displays ENTER CODE X X X X what is it???????????? it would take over1 million attempts to guess, please help it is my daughters

You have to connect to the "Primary Computer" the iPod was first used on. If you can't do that and you have to guess the number, there will be only ten thousand different numbers, not millions! Start at 0000, then 0001, then 0002 until you reach 9999.
