Try to unplug set for a while (box also if used) to see if a reboot will help or not.

SOURCE: lcd has audio only no video from any input source

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Please post back what you find.

How to get cable signal thru my TV

You must use a coaxle cable to the RF connector located on your TV. You must be in the option of TV/ cable (input button on remote). Be sure to program your auto channels for viewing. This connection is fine if you are not using a digital box. If you have the digital box, be sure you have the proper input (input 1, input 2, input etc.) on your TV. Use the optional, red, white and yellow rca cables,in this case. Remember, press options, input 1 or input 2 etc. Hope this will clue you in to proper programming. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver how to hook up speakers

HI,

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver. blank.gif

Have a Vizio VX37L that when it is turned the

HERE'S THE FIX: I just went through this with my Vizio VX37L. TV is stuck in RGB input. This is the fix.... TV is stuck in RGB input.
(option 1) Power on TV, and press the INPUT button repeatedly and rapidly until you can change to a different input, such as AV.
If that doesn't work, try:
(option 2) With the TV off, press and hold the INPUT button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. The TV will no longer be locked, and the INPUT button should function properly after that.

Option 2 worked for me!

How do I tape onto a vhs from analog tv with converter box?

There are 2 options-
Option 1
Connect the coax cables in the following order.
1 From the wall to the input of the converter box.
2. From the output of the converter box to the input of the VCR.
3. From the VCR to the TV input.

Here is how you record with this option.
1. Tune the converter box to the channel you wish to record.
2. Turn the channel on the VCR to channel 3 or program the VCR to record channel 3 this will record whatever channel you have your converter box set to at the time of the recording.

Option 2- (will not work on satellite)
1. From the wall to a 2 way splitter (made for digital cable. General rule of thumb with digital cable is gold does not usually mean good.)
2. One output from the splitter to the converter box and the other to the input of the VCR.
3. Connect an Audio Video (RCA (yellow/red/white cable)) from the VCR to the TV input.
4. Select the appropriate input on the TV for the VCR.

Here is how you record with option-
Tune the VCR to the channel you wish to record and push the record button or program the timer to record the channel and time that you wish.
Note- with this option you will only be able to record channels that you would receive without the converter box. Also each time that you split the cable line you loose part of your incoming signal and depending on how you house is set up this option could affect the quality of your digital signals on the converter box.

Denon AVR-488 , problems routing cable box through receiver to tv

If you don't have one, the manual is available online: http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/AVR-488-OM-E_101.pdf

Suggestions:

1. Reset to default values. Per page 36 of manual: 1. Turn off Power. 2. Press Power while simultaneously pressing Speaker A and Speaker B. 3. Once the display starts flashing at intervals of about 1 second, release the two buttons.

2. Make sure you have AM or FM radio reception. This makes sure your speakers, amps, etc are connected and working correctly.

3. Connect DVD player to HDMI 1 in and TV to HDMI Monitor Out.
Play a known good DVD that works when you connected the DVD directly to the TV via HDMI.

Select the DVD/HDP input on the receiver and play the DVD. You should not have to perform any input assignments, etc. It should just work, as HDMI1 is the default system setting for DVD.

4. If possible, obtain a STB with HDMI out & repeat step 3 using the HDMI2 TV/CBL input. Keeping the signal path all digital (HDMI) will give you a better picture quality than forcing several analog to digital conversions (component video is analog).

4A. To use the component connection, first test by connecting the STB directly to the TV via component video/audio if possible. This tests that the component video output of the STB is working correctly.

Next, remove direct connection and connect via receiver. Connect STB to receiver as shown on page 13 in manual. Connect component video output from STB to component video input #2 (tv/cbl) on receiver. Connect the STB audio output to the corresponding tv/cbl audio inputs.

Make sure nothing is connected to the HDMI2 input or to any other TV/CBL inputs (composite video, s-video, digital coax audio).

Now select the TV/CBL input and turn on the STB. You should have both audio & video.

Screen is blue

Good Day, o_fraile;
Blue screen normally means your TV is not receiving a signal.
1. Reset TV by unplugging TV's A/C cord from source for 3 to 5 minutes...... plug back in
2. Do the same to "BOX" ( cable, sat & etc)
3. Make sure input is the correct, all inputs, turn DVD and others on and go through inputs.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Connect TV to cable

Hi, if I understand you right, your TV has only one (1) input method and that is an S-Video and you would like to view regular TV or cable channels. Two possible ways of getting to watch: 1) Get yourself a TV Tuner that will accept antenna or cable input and whose Video output will be fed in to your S-Video. Normally (but not always) output is a yellow RCA jack but of course some would have S-Video output also. Then you would need a cable to conect the output of the tuner to the input of your TV. Cables also can be S-Video to S-Video or RCA to S-Video. Of course, you would need another RCA pair (stereo) to feed the audio to your amp for the sound. 2) Another is to use the built-in TV tuner of an old VCR. Same procedures follow. Hope this works out for your. Please let me know how it turns out. Cheers.
