Boatin4me is correct on the process of elimination. I had the same issue and it was related to a bad modem.

If it's plugged in, getting power, a good place to start would be a PSU. Take a look at HP Support for more info: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c01570954#N52

HP Pavilion M9040N Elite, power lights come on, will not boot

unhook everything that is hooked to it ! Except the keyboard mouse and Display. now try it ! If that doesn't work try to start in safe mode then do a system Restore to an earlier date. there could be a number of things to cause this even a mouse, So one at a time try to remove all that you can and then go from there and one at a time hook all back up until you find it. if not there have to start inside the machine, Doing the same thing/ video, sound,cd roms/floppy/etc.hope you find it in the first round.

How do i unlock the signal from my wrt54gs v.6 on the other computer

You will need to use the same WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) Key that you used on the other computer. Or, you can press the reset button (located on the back of your Linksys router) for at least 10 seconds while powered on to reset it to default (unsecured wireless network), and then readdress your router (by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of a browser) to set up your security with a new WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) Key.

I hope this helps, and Good luck.
