I am not sure of your particular machine yet I have repaired several other espresso machines and the majority of the times it is do to a clogged filter (usually a small metal perforated disk) Check to assure it is fully cleaned, for very difficult clogs soak or you can use a safety pin to clear the more difficult holes. My Dolce Gusto wouldnt open either so i simply pumped the silver handle ( with Dulce Gusto written on it) a few times and hey presto! it opened.
